Greetings all-- Just wondering what the best supermarket would be in Singapore. Im looking for mainly imported/gourmet foodstuffs. Maybe something along the lines of Food Hall in Bangkok? Thanks, gaharu |

Another NYC Hot dog question (kosher) Thanks I just did |

Hey all-- Sorry if this has been answered already, I did some searching, but couldnt find the exact answer. Basically Im looking for a Grey's Papaya-style place for hot dogs in Manhattan that offers all Kosher dogs, not just "Kosher -style." Something cheap, quick and delicious. Preferrably not a deli. Im pretty sure Gray's and Papaya King are not kosher-correct? Thanks Gaharu |

I know S&P. Ill check it out, and I wasnt aware that they sell Kao Soi. I also got a tip that SamSen Rd. also has a Northern Thai population, and that I may be able to find some around there. After living in Jakarta for over 2 years, my gut is pretty strong for street stalls, so I will take my chances. Thanks all! |

I'm looking for the real deal, and decidedly not upscale. I've been to Singapore before, and ate very well in Little India. I was jus hoping for some suggestions on places not to be missed. Thanks all! |

Hey all-- I'm planning a 2 day trip to Singapore next week, and although I get great food in Jakarta, I really miss the selection of Indian. I'd like to get some suggestions about the best Indian places you can think of--either Northern Islamic style or South Indian Thali. I love both! Thanks, gaharu |

Hey all-- Great thread! Chalk up one more vote for Mamoun's. I was raised on 'em, so I have a real soft spot for them. They are dependable, affordable, and the falafel is perfect. I usually go with the falafel/hummos combo. |

Check Whole Foods or Trader Joe's as well. |
