National Theater Pre-Theater Dinner?

Thanks for the suggestions on dishes. Next time I'm there I'm going to try the two you suggested!

National Theater Pre-Theater Dinner?

Ok, reporting back: we went with Bistro D'Oc for dinner and everyone wound up ordering off the menu. Overall we got the watercress soup, bistro salad, Caesar salad, Croque monsieur, trout special, chicken with kumquats, and... for the life of me, I can't think of what the last main dish was! We loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It's a great date spot. Some dishes were surprisingly salty and some thought a couple dishes had too much sauce.

The pre theater dinner menu is a steal if you have someone that's budget conscious. For $25 you get a starter, main, dessert, and a glass of table wine. I'd go back for second try if I were seeing a show at Ford's, otherwise next time I'd go for Central Michel Richard.

Thanks for both suggestions, Central Michel Richard sounds really promising. Mac & Cheese would definitely be a must. Osteria Elisir looks wonderful, definitely keeping that as a must-try. Any thoughts on Bistro D'Oc or Acadiana?

National Theater Pre-Theater Dinner?

Hi All,

A group of friends and I are going to see If/Then at National Theater this Friday. We'll be celebrating a birthday and I'm looking for a few dinner suggestions within walking distance (maybe 5 blocks) from the theater. There are only four of us and we'll be looking for something that's about $30/35 pre-drinks. If you can recommend any Korean restaurants in the area, that would be our first choice, otherwise we're open for any cuisine. Blue Duck Tavern, Bombay Club and Cashion's Eat Place are a few DC favorites if that helps with options.

Thanks in advance!

Where are the Most Delicious Carrot Cakes in Minneapolis?

@Sarah, I wish I could! We're all visiting consultants and had a massive change to our schedule, so we only tried the one at McCormick and Schmick. The general consensus was that the one at Oceanaire is better. If we get back, I'll give y'all an update. Thanks for the suggestions!

Where are the Most Delicious Carrot Cakes in Minneapolis?

Hi All!

What are the must-try carrot cakes in the Minneapolis area?

We're planning to bring a few slices into our office this week and try them all, but need suggestions. Anything that's walking distance from downtown Minneapolis would be preferred, but I'll take recommendations from all over the city, too.

Best,

K
