Where to get fresh anchovy, mackerel or sardines?
I've been looking for a few weeks now and Bittman's article in the NYT today has encouraged me to dig deeper:

Honestly, I don't know any worthwhile fish mongers in SF that I could ask. Any suggestions?
8 oz Burger Bar lands on South Beach
The menu does not make sense unless you want to have the burgers as "prepared" including charred escarole. After ordering a plain grass fed burger with cheese, I received one with the works. They took it back and returned with the correct (no) ingredients. Once I bit in, I now had a piece of over cooked shoe leather although I had ordered medium-rare.
Burger Bar, when you charge $14 for a cheeseburger you better be cooking them properly.
The fried pickles were interesting, but my fries and rings were soggy. Nice beer selection, tasty drinks and good service. They also were very apologetic for the error. They don't have the South Beach attitude so they got that going for them too.
Looking for LA style mexican in SF
Indeed there are landmines, but I can say with certainty that the shredded beef chimichanga is quite good. I enjoy the complementary chips and salsa (is there anything that complements Margaritas better?) and the salad with tomatoey dressing that comes with any entree.
