Old but Not Lethal

After reading through these comments, I thought I would add my own on using raw milk in the Best Eggnog recipe. I noticed after week 1 that there were coagulated bits floating around in my jug. I was worried. I shook the bottle, covered it back up with foil, and put it back in the fridge. I checked it again at week 2, and all the bits are gone and it looks nice and smooth. I decided to have a little taste and it was still wicked strong, but already much more mellow and a little thicker. It will be exactly 3 weeks on Christmas day so we shall see then how it turned out! I expect it to be even better for New Year's Eve.

Harrisburg Chowhound shoutout!

I've heard such good things about the new Nonna's. I work so close by that I am amazed I haven't tried it yet. I just keep forgetting!

Also, I just posted above about the Thai place in Dillsburg before I read your post! I really need to get down there. It looks like such a dump...the first time I saw it I immediately dismissed it based on the exterior. haha...

Harrisburg Chowhound shoutout!

Thai place on Paxton --> Bangkok 56! I LOVE that place. It may not be the best Thai in the area, but it's the best I've ever experienced. I hear the Thai place in Dillsburg is great, but haven't made it down there yet.

Bacon-Wrapped Turkey with Pear Cider Gravy

Because I live in PA with it's horrendous liquor laws, I can't really buy a whole case of hard pear cider just to make gravy. Does anyone think pear wine will make a good replacement? Help!! This is for tomorrow!
