I think The Grocery and The Ordinary look great. Which would you recommend? Which has the best atmosphere?

The menus of Fig and Husk look similar. Is the style of preparation similar? Lots of fried foods?
Whick of these would you say has the best atmsophere for a date?

My 17-year-old daughter and I will be spending Christmas day and the day after in Manhattan. We've been there several times before so we are somewhat familiar with the City. We are looking for dinner options. She loves ethnic foods and I am looking for the quintessential NYC experience. Some of our past favorites have been Babbo, Cookshop, ABC Kitchen and Mailiano.
We typically stay south of Times Square but I am not opposed to an uptown option. I am also wondering if there are places that could be 'fall back' options that would not require a reservation, in case we are caught up in a shopping frenzy,
