suggestions for dinner in brooklyn heights
Noodle Pudding is always quite good, service is warm and friendly. You can never lose when going there.
Henry's End is excellent, with great service. Tougher to get a table but well worth it.
I feel is if Petit Marche has gone down hill since last summer. It's average fare at best.
JTH is hit or miss. Food is below average in my opinion. But the bar is nice.
Tazza to open second location!
That's the only thing I don't like about Tazza is that they do not make anything themselves.
Tazza to open second location!
Tazza is the best place for Coffee, pastry and light fare in the Heights. Plus they are great people too!
Tazza to open second location!
My favorite spot in Brooklyn Heights for coffee and pastry will be opening it's second location, (much closer to home) at the corner of Clark and Henry. Where the short lived Kosher steak place was.
According to the owner they will be opening later this summer.
Great news!!
Brooklyn Side of Brooklyn Bridge
Who needs to walk when you have Henry's End. Try it and you'll see....
Petit Marche
Jenn I respectfully disagree. I feel as if Petit Marche was much better last year. Their burger is fair at best. I'd go to the Henry Street Ale House for a good burger.
Brooklyn Side of Brooklyn Bridge
I respectfully disagree. Noodle Pudding is not expensive. Nor over-rated.
INMHO JTH get's my award for most over-rated in the heights.
Don't forget Henry's End, by far the best restaurant in the area.
Sweet Melissa coffee -- pushing her luck
Try supporting coffee shops that's don't take advantage of their customers. There is no reason coffee should be so high. Especially bad coffee!
need first date wine bar rec...
Is this an internet "first" date? If so, I would not recommend prohibition.
Sweet Melissa coffee -- pushing her luck
The coffee at Cranberry's is overpriced and below average. The place is depressing too. Tazza and Siggy's and CM are far better options close by
Lantern??
Shrimp Pad Thai was excellent.

looking to eat the best Sushi in BKLYN tonight
I second Iron Chef, but only when the owner is in. He's in tonight, (Monday), I just picked up takeout (spicy dragon rolls). My fav.
New Food Store in Downtown Brooklyn?
It hasn't been released publicly. It's always better to say that you don't know rather then to start rumors. I called Boar's Head Corporate and they said that there would "NOT" be a store on Court Street.
New Food Store in Downtown Brooklyn?
There is no Boars Head Cafe coming to Court Street. Try not to take stories from Blogs as fact.
jack the horse tavern
Jack the Horse has a great bar with excellent bartenders but the food is nothing short of mediocre. The service is the dining room is poor as well. It's stuffy and more suited to older folks.
We are a thirty-something couple with young children, and the place just doesn't work for us. (With or without the kids)
But, if you're in the area try Henry's End for a great meal with service to match.
Best Wine Shop in Brooklyn
Michael Towne is a good wine store on Henry Street. Nice staff too.
Grimaldi's, Brooklyn--Excellent, But...
I second Lomardi's as "great" pie, and add Fascati's as "not".
Grimaldi's, Brooklyn--Excellent, But...
Girmaldi's is below average and not worth the wait. If you are coming to the area do yourself a favor and go to DiFara's you won't be disapointed.

Brooklyn Heights Brunch
Peter,
Superfine's kitchen delivers a consistent product. You look young in your photo so I'd say you'd like the vibe better too. JTH is great for special events though.
Will you report back?
