Not sure what you're into, but Alewife is supposed to have a good beer selection, and long bar good for enjoying a meal, and close to Camden Yards. I personally haven't been so I can't comment on much, but what I heard so far has been promising.

Also known as "Escarole", "White Tuna" sashimi is a white, very oily fish. The flesh is buttery in consistency, much like the prized Toro. A serving of 3 thinly sliced pieces of sashimi should weigh approximately 3 oz. It is high in fat but also high in protein.

We were thinking of getting to Philly at 9:30am or so. A lot of soccer games are aired early morning due to the time difference from Europe. Any bars open early on days like this for the soccer fans? We are def hitting Monks, but after the game.

Friends and I are coming up from Baltimore early Saturday March 13th for the Flyers game. We are staying in Center City and want to find a bar (soccer or oyster) preferably to pre-party before taking the train to the Wachovia center. Any options? I'd be down for any soccer, hockey, or Belgian beer, o, or oyster themed spots that open early on Saturdays!

Baltimore and DC need to be separate!! Baltimore hounders like myself are more so concerned with good eats in Baltimore, both city and county. Even Maryland in general, but not including the District of Columbia which has its own scene that too deserves its own forum, but out of the usual travel distance for us Baltimore natives. Anyone agree?

Red Robin in Towson has great onion rings, They are extra crispy and stacked in a tower when they come out. Plus their dipping sauces are great too.

Two years ago when I tried my hand at making sushi, I purchased sushi grade fish from a shop on York Road in Timonium, just north of seminary ave (next to 7-11):

There is also a place on Deereco Road in Timonium that sell all the rice, vinegar, Nori, etc needed to make sushi. Hope that helps.

Annabell Lee Tavern had a soft crab sandwich on their menu last week as a special.

Not sure how the crabs are, but Nick's Fish House is on the water, and always a fun place to drink/eat outdoors.

I think Brewer's Art will fill a growler for you if you bring one in. Also, Red Brick in White Marsh might.

You should look into Bull & Oyster Roasts. Usually easy to find them in this town. For $30 or so you get all you can eat oysters and usually free beer too, along with the all the other foods.
