Healthyish pizzas? [moved from San Francisco Bay Area board]

Try using a high fiber, high protein tortilla as a quick crust such as those made by La Tortilla Factory. Not traditional but it does the trick! 80 calories, 12g fiber, 8g protein. Not bad.

Prepare Ahead appetizers

I made this hot onion and cheese souffle dip before and it was a huge hit. Can make ahead then just reheat and serve.

Turning banana bread batter into muffins?

If it works for banana bread, it should work for muffins. Essentially it is the same thing. You will want to decrease the cooking time significantly with the muffins, however. I'd do 12 minutes, check them and go from there.

Brunch on Queen East

I know it's not Queen East, but when everywhere was too busy on Queen, I headed North on Broadview up to the Danforth. Factory Girl was awesome for brunch, just east of Broadview on the Danforth. Everyone I was with was impressed with the service, theirs meals, and the portion size. Great Caesar's too!

Bob's Red Mill TVP (textured vegetable protein) recipes/ideas?

You could try marinating/reconstituing in some liquid smoke, soy sauce and water and then saute it up in a pan to make something similar to fake bacon bits.
