Hastings, MN for breakfast?

I might have to go in with sunglasses on. I live near the Baker's Wife and feel guilty if I get caught anywhere else!

Trying Wyatt's Strawberries - they have asparagus too. Hoping for the best.

Hastings, MN for breakfast?

Heading down to do some strawberry picking (1.50/lb) and wondering where I should catch some breakfast that won't flinch at my dirty knees and red tinged fingers. Help.

The MSP labor challenge

I am in the same boat.... filling my time trying to figure out which old wives tales to believe. The change in barometric pressure today seems to be working well, but I am all up for the spicy foods. It made me laugh that I came here to take a break from baby inducing and found this post! Thanks for starting it.

My advice is poor. I did the Al Vento thing followed by apps and bowling at memory lanes last time and it produced no baby. I had to go the pitocin route. This time, I am banking on some of these suggestions to get this baby on the move!

I don't know where you are delivering, but doing it at Abbott provides easy access for support people to bring in MGM food. A sopa from Los Ocampos totally hit the spot after all that work!

MSP - Dinner for a group this weekend!

A friend of mine was asking for advice on where to take her post grad school fiesta. I know it is last minute, so p1lease keep that in mind when providing suggestions! I know that you all will have much better ideas then I would have come up with.

Here is the criteria:

Dinner this Saturday (5/17)
12-15 people, want reservations (don't want to wait)
Non-chain restaurant
St. Paul highly preferred
Needs to have a diverse menu, picky eaters and foodies attending
Looking to spend no more than $15 a plate (preferably less.. )

I think this is all the info I have, but let me know if you know anywhere that wouldn't laugh if a reservation was called in for a group this weekend! Grad school delayed any pre-party planning.

(MSP) Places to Watch the Game

Busters (42nd st and 28th Ave) I think the 46, 14 and 22 pass that corner. Huge tap list (20-ish great choices) and food that is better than Adrian's. Has at least three TV's and will switch to whatever you need.

Minneapolis Delivery (particularly South)

Hiawatha Joe also delivers. Good sandwiches, mediocre pizza.

MSP - Nice Place to rent out for 30th bday

Cafe Lurcat. Fantastic atmosphere, good food. It is a bit pricey, but there is a separate room, and cash bar options.

MSP - cheap breakfast catering/delivery?

I second A Baker's Wife. We have introduced many to their pastries. There hasn't been a disappointed person yet. My favorites are the creme brulee danish or the American tea cake. Give them a call.
