Hi, My mom is trying to find a cookie recipe she remembers from young-adulthood. She believes it was featured as a contest winner in Parade Magazine's bake-off, (at the time, we think this was sponsored by Pillsbury.) This would have been some time in the 1960s. The cookie, as she remembers it, was a shortbread round topped with a mound of coconut cookie, (sounded like a macaroon.) This was then drizzled with chocolate and topped with part of a maraschino cherry. My sister and I have done a lot of online research, to no avail. And my mom even wrote to Parade mag. They didn't have a record of it. Can anyone help or tell us where to find this vintage recipe?
