Mendy's in Brooklyn
Was at a party there today and it was fantastic. Food was fresh and delicious and portions very generous. Presentation was nice and the service excellent. The restaurant has been recently renovated and is beautiful, modern and very clean.

cafe napoli in Brooklyn, food is usually good- but service terrible. Although they have breakfast specials and the signs on the door say they open at 9- they often do not open till 1:00 in the afternoon. Some of the staff are rude and and the self serve during the day is very disorganized. If you are trying to plan a business lunch- they are unreliable as to when they open- everyday is a different time and often they open after lunch time.
picking faucets
does anyone have advice about picking faucets for a large kitchen sink and a smaller island sink- pull down/ gooseneck/ lever etc. brands, models etc?

I am redoing my kitchen and wanted recommendations for sink faucets- for a d shaped franke sink in large and a smaller sink in my island- Do people like the pull down faucet head and goosenecks and what type of lever is best- side vs. front or back etc.

has anyone heard of FCI appliances. I saw a great 5 burner 36" on the kitchendirect website- but I have beenn unable to find reviews anywhere. It is from Italy and has the knobs on the side. I can't find anyone who has one or has even heard of it.

I just purchased the frigidaire twins fridge and freezer- now I've been reading about problems people have with them. I'm very nervous and just wondering if anyone has good things to say about them? Also, does anyone know if the handles can be replaced with another style handles?

As far as repairs, I'm located in NYC- so I imagine it shouldn't be too hard to find repair people, although I could be wrong. I would really like to find very reliable ovens and cooktop so that I can hopefully avoid having them repaired.
miele vs. wolf cooktop
for a gas cooktop the ge profile and monogram have cooktops that got good reviews by consumer reports, however the knobs are in the front and in between the 5 burners. It is easy to see which knob is for what, but I worry about bumping into hot pots- is this a problem with those kind of cooktops?

which is better the ge monogram double wall oven or the electrolux? the ge monogram has self clean racks (good for pesach) but the electrolux seems to have better features. Does anyone have good or bad experiences with these ovens?
