I'm looking for a rehearsal dinner location in Marin, somewhere between Tiburon and San Rafael. We'll have about 40 people, so a restaurant with a private room and menu options at about $30 per person. Any suggestions are welcome!

I'm getting married in Marin next fall and I'm starting to do some bakery research. My hope is to have a small traditional cake (two tiers, nothing fancy) for us to cut and a dessert buffet with small tarts, pies, cookies, cupcakes, etc for everyone else to enjoy. I would love to find a bakery that makes both cakes and other dessert treats.

Deer Park Villa, Insalata's, Buckeye, Left Bank. I believe they all serve a traditional Thanksgiving dinner as well as other options.

I second Deer Park Villa...we're probably going to eat Thanksgiving dinner there and I'm getting married there next year. It's a beautiful, funky, family owned spot and the buffet is around $40 per person.
