Italian wine varietals

Try a really good Barolo, or an Amarone one of my favorites....expensive, but good. Another is Migliore, a super Tuscan red that will definately put the light bodied ones to shame. Don't rule out Chianti, a good one is quite full bodied, often the body of the wine is not necessarily due to the type of grape, but in the amount of it in the production. Cheaper wines are often just that, a few more $'s for the same type may be very full-bodied.

Do Ice-cream and Wine go together???

Try it with a nice ice wine, or a late harvest Riesling type wine, I have also had some excellent maple wine made from the same product that makes maple syrup or sugar, excellent with ice cream, or many other desserts.

Fruit Flies!

I use a product called "Vapona strip", a very non-toxic fly killer that you hang in a room and it is good for 6 months. It may not work in a home where the doors and windows are open a lot.
