Hand shmurah matzah at Costco

I bought it last year in Lawrence store. The matzah was OK but no comparison to the charedim matzah that my synagogue sells for 34 dollars a pound.
the only problem i found was that by the last days, there weren't enough "WHOLE MATZAHS" available for Motzi.

Never the less, I snatched up 10 boxes about 2 weeks ago in the Boca Raton store. The person behind me bought 16 boxes! I am surprised they haven't sold out yet.

deli boss in roslyn

GREAT NEWS: Deli Boss (Glatt Kosher Shomer Shabbas Meat Catering and Take-Out) now has real restaurant seating and wait service in the evenings.

Effective tonight, Deli Boss is using the seating area of the adjacent Bagel Boss (after Bagel Boss closes for the day and the tables are cleaned and covered) to provide complete restaurant service. This particularly wonderful news is even more exciting since the demise of the Bistro Deli in Great Neck.

The restaurant is now under the supervision of Rabbi Asher Schechter, with a full time masgiach tamidi, and all of the cooking is done on premises.

What I really like about this restaurant is that it has a limited menu and can concentrate on making every single dish 5 star gourmet.

The value is truly amazing, and portion size so generous that one dinner can easily feed three people.

The only thing that I missed was real china and silverware. Although they used the finest quality plastic ware available, it is still not the same.

The wait staff was particularly friendly and most cooperative. The mashgiach was also very cooperative and eager to address our concerns.

Bagels shipped?

Montreal (and Toronto) bagels are not made with high gluten flour and taste like white bread.
In addition shipping charges for Canada to the U.S. are very high.
Attempting to ship any foodstuff between countries is not practical.

King Solomons in Toronto, Ontario

If you enjoy an all you can eat buffet, King Solomon is the place to be in Toronto.
However the selection is small compared to some buffets in New York.

If most of your party are not large eaters, then the standard menu would be better than the buffet.
I have never left hungry and enjoy evrything they offer.

This is a very large restaurant, and is the most popular place for sheva brachas and other large simchas.

The list of really good restaurants in Toronto is amazing, and you should base your selection on whether you are with a family, and if so how old the children are.

If you also like dairy there are some amazing choices.

New Starbucks Fraps not kosher

The Starbucks website FAQ says:
Are your beverages kosher?
No – although most of our beverage components are certified kosher. Since we cannot prepare kosher beverages in our stores, we have not made a concerted effort to have all of our beverages ingredients certified.

Shish Kabob Palace - Great Neck - Zero Stars

I was the only customer in the store at 6:30 PM. Now I understand why. They have just remodeled, adding tile on the walls and new tables and more comfortable chairs.
The sign said under new management, but I did not see any management at all in the store.
Before remodeling, the hamburger platter was great. Two hamburgers and a choice of any 2 sides and a basket with pitas for 13.95. Not cheap, but not outrageous. Since the new menu was very vague, I ask the waiter what it came with and I was told fries and coleslaw. I told him I did not eat fries, so he allowed me to substitute vegetables instead. When the platter was brought to me, I was amazed, reduced to one little hamburger on a giant roll, a spoonful of coleslaw in a tiny dish and a few vegetables. I did not want to make a scene, but I went home and made dinner for myself.

How to cook beef top of rib roast?

Just remember to go light on the salt. Kosher meat that has been soaked and salted absorbs some of the salt from this process, so it is better to go light on the salt until you get the hang of exactly how much salt remains in the meat. There can be a significant difference regarding the amount of salt absorbed in the meat depending upon the supplier who performs the soaking and salting process. Cooking it tomato sauce with roasted garlic and mushrooms is one of my favorites.

How to cook beef top of rib roast?

It tastes very similar to first cut brisket, taking on the characteristics of the sauce used to cook it in.

How to cook beef top of rib roast?

Beryl is correct. The advantage of slicing when only half done is that the meat is still firm so that you don't have to cool it off in order to slice. Adding the potatoes and other veggies, especially onions, is also a good idea, but remember that you cannot freeze cooked potatoes. This piece of meat is not a "roast".

How to cook beef top of rib roast?

Prepare it exactly the way you prepare brisket, in a covered roasting pan with some liquid such as Mikee Garlic Sauce for about 3 hours at 350. Cool and slice thinly AGAINST the grain. Return to the liquid so the meat does not dry out. It can be refrigerated or frozen after cooking, and then reheated.

Upscale Kosher in Toronto

Unfortunately, the downtown area of Toronto is not where the major Jewish community lives.... so you will need a car to get to the kosher restaurants. The following is the link to the kosher map of toronto provided by the COR

The closest to downtown really really good restaurants are: Bistro Grande (dairy) and Gladstones (meat) both on Eglington Avenue and very very nice for a non-jewish business lunch.
