Best meal I ever ate:
Too many perfect ones to narrow to just one. For me, our peppers stuffed with chicken can't be beat.
My current drink of choice:
I really wish I could:
throw that fantasy dinner party from back in time in which George Bernard Shaw, Orwell, Oscar Wilde, and my father all came back and talked.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
red beans and rice
My favorite comfort food:
chicken and dumplings or jambalaya
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
include Spaghetti Warehouse in Memphis, Felix's in New Orleans, Copeland's in Baton Rouge, Wintzell's in Mobile, the Acme in New Orleans. I still miss Kolb's in New Orleans terribly. I can't leave out the Gold Post in Hattiesburg, Miss. Divine po-boys.
My most tattered cookbooks:
my husband's not yet published ones, River Roads Recipes (Baton Rouge Junior League), the Hot Springs cookbook, many more are a bit tattered.
