I've been to Dok's Deli in Fox Point several times and the sandwiches are incredible. The owner is a young ex-Johnson and Wales student, whose grandfather worked in NYC delis. He brines, cures and smokes all the meat using a recipe from Katz's. The pastrami is fabulous. I had the Cuban and will go back many times. The pickles, chips and condiments are all housemade and the bread comes from a bakery in Cranston.

Yes! I saw that on Twitter and asked Ed Reposa what it's all about. He sold it to the same manager so nothing will change. I think Ed's moving.

Has anyone been to Bayal Buffet? It's a BYOB Senegalese/African place in Pawtucket. I tried the buffet for dinner one night and really enjoyed sampling all the various dishes in one sitting, but I do wonder how freshly made some items were. Thoughts?

Vegan food

Try Julians. They offer many vegan dishes. Tempeh tacos, falafel, seitan steak and cheese. They have a cool atmosphere too.
