Blue Hill is booked. Destination fine dining outside of NYC?

Blue Hill is booked. So where to go for the big "getaway from nyc" anniversary dinner?

What is amazing an hour or or two in any direction? Price not a big consideration. Hamptons? Anything north? South? Something memorable! THANK YOU ALL!

Private room for ten or twelve in NYC

That is a GREAT idea. Had dinner in their downstairs room years back and the food was fantastic!

A back room for twelve in NYC. $100 per person. WHERE?

Having a big sit down meeting with our business folk and the spouses--a celebration of a good year! $100 a person total is a good guideline (but that's including booze too) Is there a spot with a good back room for a party of 12 where we can all talk easily? The old Miriam's back room used to be our go to. Good food of almost any stripe would work--it's really down to the room!

Mid-level, $25ish entrees. Thinking about El Parador's downstairs room. The back room at Miriam's would have been perfect (festive, boozy) We just don't go out that much!

Steak Diane in Manhattan?

In August I had a great experience with very old recipe in a very new restaurant in the Catskills (a new spot called Hennings Local in the Eldred Preserve which I would also recommend) The dish was Steak Diane. It's not particularly pretty--a lot of brown but man oh man it was completely delicious. Now I have to have it again. What places in Manhattan can deliver this experience again? (Side note--no flames necessary)
