Best burgers in the Bay Area 2011 I just ate a cheeseburger at Val's this past weekend. I'm happy to tell you that their burgers are still amazing. ----- |

I'm not bagel savvy at all, but further south I enjoy Posh Bagels in Santa Clara. |

Limon Frozen Yogurt in San Pablo I just had some FroYo from this yogurt store in the International Marketplace in San Pablo. It's a self-serve soft-serve yogurt place. But I was suprised how tasty some of their flavors were. Flavors include Plain, Organic Plain, Mango, Chocolate, Pineapple, Taro, Pumpkin, some others I forgot. Mango and Pumpkin (suprisingly) were good. There were also a number of toppings optional. Anyways, I'll definately go back. Give this place a try if you're ever in the area. Limon Frozen Yogurt. 2300 El Portal Dr San Pablo , CA 94806 Thanks you for stopping by my post, |

Pancakes in the northern east bay (north of Oakland)? I kind of like the pancakes at Raphael's Shutter Cafe in El Cerrito. What are some of your favorites? Thanks, ----- |

the best hamburger...where is it? Big fan of Phyllis' Turkey Burger here. |

I tried an order of the "Sad And Cry" chicken wings to go. Interesting in how they accomplish the Intense heat. It's got a very sugary coating. It seems the sweetness opens your taste buds to a savage sichaun pepper assault. Rather expensive (you only get six wings in the order). The heat builds with each wing (I can take alot of heat, but the sixth wing was a challenge to finish). The heat stays on your tongue long after the meal. I did not ask for the dish "extra spicy" or anything so this is a genuinely hot dish. I'll give you that warning in case you feel like trying it. On another trip I tried their Ma Po Tofu (sp?). It was very well done. The Green Onion Pancake was also very nice. The Conch dish (one from the House Specialties list) was just ok, not someting I'd order again. (I'm not used to conch so I might be misjudging this dish). |

Thanks for the heads up. |

I'll throw my two cents in on El Cerrito Plaza. |

El Cerrito Del Norte: Sawad Dee Thai Restaurant (nice sitdown Thai, good curries), Chirag Indian Cuisine and Chaat Corner (buffet or made to order this no frills hole in the wall does quite a nice job at either), Anna's Place (nice clean breakfast and lunch, good prices). |

Yunnanese restaurants in the greater Bay Area? I'd like to know if any out there know of any Bay Area Chinese restaurant that serves dishes from the Yunnan province/area of China. If there are more than one, which restaurant is best at it in your opinion? Thank you very much. |

Berkeley: Chick-O-Pea's - The falafel place with a falafel bar I hope they come down off that $7 asking price. Unless the price falls to $5 or less no reason to go back for the sandwich I had. Overcooked the falafels a bit. Plus, they need to try harder to keep the toppings available. 1/3 of the bins were emptied out. (One of the bins actually had dolma/dolmae/dolmades or whatever the plural form is). That tiny patio was actually pretty enjoyable on a such a bright, sunny day. |

My favorite's along that route (E'Ville to Napa) are 900 Grayson, Sunnyside Cafe, and Cafe Soleil. ----- Jennifer and Todd's Cafe Soleil |

NVM. I found out that I had my Explorer security setting set to not run ActiveX controls. After I allowed Active X, I am seeing the proper window now. Thanks. |

I am able to link a place if I am starting a thread, but I don't see that option come up when I'm replying to a post. But I see several other people accomplishing this task in their replies. Can you please post instructions on how to "Link to a Place" in a reply. Thank you |
|
|
I have no idea how you guys are able to link a place. I've read the instructions but I don't seem to be given that option. |

I used to frequent Ba Le, now I go to BT Sandwich Deli (open less than a year) in Pinole. BT Sandwich Deli BT Sandwich Deli |

Rotten City Pizza in Emeryville? I wish they'd use feta instead of ricotta on their Bianco Verde. |

Berkeley breakfast and lunch on a Friday Sunnyside is a a great place for breakfast. "The Alameda" is unbelievable. Jimmy Bean's food is good, but portions are way too much on the small side, imo (I don't like putting down $12 for breakfast and leaving hungry). Coffee might not be great, but they do serve the best OJ I've had in all the East Bay. |

Berkeley breakfast and lunch on a Friday Grayson 900 has my favorite breakfast meal in the Berkeley area. Their "Demon Plate" (chicken and waffles). Remember the name "DEMON PLATE". It will posess you! |

Am I missing anything in Vallejo/American Canyon? Oh yes. Benicia. I kinda like the Hawaiian-Filipino place called Hula Hut. The Mongolian Beef at Grand China was pretty good, although it's been awhile since I last ate there. |

Am I missing anything in Vallejo/American Canyon? I've had pretty good Vietnamese pho experiences at... Pho Lee Hoa Phat III |

Martinez: Hot Dog Depot--homemade acorn bread, veggie burgers,... Acorn Bread?!? Fascinating. That's sounds worthy of a return. Agree about good the good hotdog. Thank you. |

I have some places in the East Bay, but that's not in the direction you wanted.. Perhaps other Chauhounds might know of better. |

Top Burmese Restos in the Bay Area? Solely base it on the authenticity of the dishes. List a couple spots if you'd like. Thanks. |

Maybe some Filipino pork blood stew, Dinuguan. Alot of Filipino places in Daly City sell. Pre-meal table snack: The Japanese dried baby crab snacks (last seen Berkeley Bowl). You eat them whole, shell and all. |

My favorite Indian buffet is at Bombay Garden near El Camino and Lawrence in Santa Clara, but not enough to recommend such a long road trip down from SF. |

New in Berkeley - seek advice from local hounds I like some of the pizza places they have in Berkeley. Cheeseboard Collective, Gioia Pizzeria, Lanesplitter Pub & Pizza, and Zachary's are very much worth trying. It's pizza so they'd be in the Cheap Eats category. |

BT Sandwich Deli !!! Squeezed-to-order lemonade and BANH MI in PINOLE !!! Over well, if you know the term. |
