Is Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray Soda available in Charlotte? They also do a darn good Rueben Sandwich. Usually I cant decide which to go with , corned beef or the pastrami so I get a combo with both. Good Stuff!!! |

Is Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray Soda available in Charlotte? Katz NY Deli in the Arboretum Office Park carries it as well. |

The new Whole Foods in South Park (Charlotte) I'm pretty jazzed. Great fish dept.. Meat dept. - has local grass fed beef. Deli had some great product. Produce looked great. I thing this is Charlottes best supermarket option. |

Ikea = Swedish meatballs= darn good |

Looking for Offal in Charlotte I think your answer lies in the Mexican butcher shops in town. Compare and Super G as dawg said should be good. Other wise it will offal hard to find. Sorry, couldn't help myself. |

Pro Chef Kitchen Supply open in Uptown Charlotte Sounds like the extra $2 is to pay his new rent for the storefront. |

Tried the brisket at Q - Totally disappointed. Midwood Smokehouse is so superior. Its hard to believe what Q is serving is even from the same animal. Lacked taste, texture, smoke flavor. Midwood brisket consistently tastes like the real deal from Texas to me. |

Menu looks fantastic. They have chow fun a broad rice noodle I love and I almost passed out just reading Roasted Duck & Wonton Noodle Soup. Plus all the cool dim sum. I need to check this place out |
|

not exactlly what you are looking for but Saigon Palace has a big selection of soups. One is a seafood number with shrimp and the best wontons going. I guess a wonton counts as a dumpling? |

I'm pretty sure Dim Sum serves them on weekends when the carts are rolling. I also hear about a new Dim Sum place on Rt.51 near fudruckers. It used to be an upscale buffet. Owner closed it and reopened it as what I hear is a very authentic Chinese restaurant serving Dim Sum weekends. I haven't tried yet but I will! |

The Savory Spice shop has opened at Atherton Mill in Charlotte This place is fantastic. The selection is amazing. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices are and how excellent the quality is. |

Three Left-Handed Half-Italians Went To Krazy Fish (Charlotte)... Totally agree w/ickymettle. You hit the nail on the head. It's a fun place, some stuff is slammin and some Okay, all descent, low prices. Cajun stuff is pretty tasty. Curry not as good as an Indian, Thai or jamaican place but tasty. Many points for being eclectic. Not fine dining but so what. It's a far cry from fast food and pretty darn satisfying. |

This is a new one for me sounds interesting. I enjoy both Negimaki and also Udon. Have you ever considered getting an order of each and just adding the Negimake into the bowl of Udon? Might satisfy you craving. |

I had one of the finest meals of my life at Rowland's Restaurant at Westglow Resort & Spa, Blowing Rock. Truly magnificent. |

Charlotte - 2-3 pull-out-the-stops meals? Both good ideas, you may want to include Fiamma in Dilworth neighborhood for some delicious Italian. Not the red sauce variety. ----- |

Excellent recs. Harvest Moon Grille at the Dunhill Hotel linked to some other place w/ the same name in GA. |

Restaurants w/ Event Rooms-Charlotte Excellent idea! |

Charlotte - Korean restaurant at Super G Market is open I had lunch their today with a friend. What an amazing find!!! Totally delicious and low prices. I had the Bulgogi and my friend had the BiBimbap. Unlike at most Korean places I have been to no little BBQ table side where diners cook the meal. It was presented freshly cooked with a bowl of white rice and a side of Kimchee for the table. Both meals were fantastic, fresh, flavor packed and cost about $9 each. Quality and low prices are a rarity these days. I cant wait to go back. |

Restaurants w/ Event Rooms-Charlotte IMHO they are one of the most over rated places. They get great press? The few times I tried them and really wanted to like them as l live nearby. They never impressed me at all at best the food is fair. |

Restaurants w/ Event Rooms-Charlotte Check out Dresslers at the Metropolitan. They have sold food and a nice ambiance. |

McKoy's Smokehouse has amazing wings. First smoked and then finished on the grill. Best wings I ever had. |

Country Style or Country Fried Steak in Charlotte NC If you seek country style w/brown gravy, McCoy's Smoke House on Old Pineville Rd. has you covered. I like the country fried w/the white gravy and wish I knew who in Charlotte was serving it up right. |

Very poor service - pre-cooked food Any quality place wants to serve tasty food ,to achieve this the cook begins by using quality ingredients and next by seasoning. The beginning of seasoning is salt and pepper. Rather than serve bland tasteless food they offered you items that they could serve without compromising taste and flavor. Had they served you say chicken that was bland you well could be on CH saying how your meal was not tasty, bland, unappealing and not worthy of a restaurant with such a good reputation. Hominy Grill is in the business of selling delicious food, perhaps they are not the right place for you and your individual food needs and that is cool. Charleston has may restaurants and many diners. The two of you should be able to get by without each other just fine. ----- |

Morehead Street Tavern, Charlotte, Mystery Solved Just name it after a tuxedo clad critter and fry up some pickles and people will start lining up. |

Looking for...a good Tex-Mex Restaurant in Charlotte... I think we all get the concept of Tex Mex. To my knowledge the only restaurant in Charlotte that bills itself as Tex Mex is Pacos Tacos. The same group owns Cantina an extremely successful Mexican restaurant. They could have opened a third location of Cantina but they opted to go with a Tex Mex concept place. |

|
Looking for...a good Tex-Mex Restaurant in Charlotte... The step up from On the border to Pacos Tacos is so hugh your ears will pop. The TexMex streeet cred you speak of at Pacos Tacos is in part from TexMex authority and cook book author Robb Walsh who helped design the menu. |

All-You-Can-Drink Fun Brunch in Charlotte? I have to admit I do want to the try the burger with peanut butter and siracha - sounds interesting, sort of like a sate? |
|

Looking for...a good Tex-Mex Restaurant in Charlotte... Paco's Tacos is a Tex/Mex concept owned by the same group that owns Big Daddy's, Mama Ricotta's and Cantina. Paco's Tacos has some darn good brisket, light years better than the dry excuse for brisket that they serve at Mac's. ----- Mama Ricotta's Restaurant |

All-You-Can-Drink Fun Brunch in Charlotte? Pinky's - grass fed beef? really? I had no clue, if so that is fantastic. |
