Food after numerous tooth extractions

Most dentists recommend a light diet for at least for the first 48 hours I know mine does. They tell you to be careful with spicy foods. But you can eat soups, and ice cream. And of course you will want to drink plenty of water!

Advice: Wisdom Tooth Extraction, what to eat?

Doing great here. Mouth not sore at all still taking it easy. Don't want to do anything that will cause trouble. My mouth is a little tender but that's to be expected. I only needed half of a pain pill the night the second wisdom tooth came out but since then I haven't had one and I haven't needed Advil either. I am so glad those teeth are out. I did have a few days where I couldn't open my mouth very easily so when I wanted to eat I had to tear small pieces off a little at a time but even that's getting easier to do.

Advice: Wisdom Tooth Extraction, what to eat?

I have had two erupted wisdom teeth extracted. One on Thursday and one almost two weeks ago and have had very little pain and no swelling whatsoever. Only minor discomfort. What has helped me the most is cold liquids I was told to drink a lot of water and I was also told I can have Gatorade. Thankfully my wisdom teeth came out without too much trouble. In fact, the first one I didn't even know it was even out until they told me it was out. Second one was almost just as easy and didn't take long. I am thankful for no sutures as they were both the gum line and not under. Makes things so much easier to deal with.
As far as food goes I have to be careful can't have dairy or eggs since they both bother my stomach. Have found creamy peanut butter has given me the protein I am craving but I am missing my grilled chicken and my salads. Liquids are key! I found soy milk also is also great makes me feel like I am getting some much needed nutrients.
I agree with others when they say it all depends on how complex your case is. Mine was quite simple. With the extraction on the right side I only needed one of the prescription pain pills I was prescribed and the second one I have only need half of one with the second. I have only taken Advil as needed.
Also if you are allowed to eat before going to the the dentist, I recommend doing so, it really helped me out a lot as I wasn't able to eat anything for up to three hours after the extraction.
