K-Town Fried Chicken

Yup, definitely open now (I live across the street). Big lunch crowd but more manageable during the dinner time.

Crab Rangoon Recipe

As a quick perusal of the Chowhound boards will reveal, Crab Rangoon in the MA area seems to be unique. I grew up in Boston and now live in New York City and the Crab Rangoon they serve here just isn't the same. Actually, the Crab Rangoon I have had in many other parts of the country (if they even have it) tastes distinctly different from what I can get at Dragon Chef in Brighton or Chow Chow City in Chinatown. Is it something in the water? Some special Bostonian technique? Please help me out! If anyone has a recipe for Crab Rangoons that can replicate what I ate growing up in Boston or can let me know of a place where I can get it, please reply!

I think there's also a new Bonchon opening in the Financial District on John st., it took over the old Zen Palate space;

Where can I buy an Electric Takoyaki Pan?

I figured that an electric unit would be simpler to use for some reason? With my lack of experience, my comment may have been mistaken. Thanks for your input though. I'm definitely going to try and find a cast iron pan.

Where can I buy an Electric Takoyaki Pan?

Thanks! That's awesome. I will check it out. I bet the takoyaki made with the cast-iron pan is much tastier, but I'm a lazy guy.

Thanks again!

Where can I buy an Electric Takoyaki Pan?

Ok, so I really love those little balls of octopus and batter known as Takoyaki. I'm interested in procuring the goods to produce them myself so I can wallow in my own fatness in the very comfort of my own kitchen.

I know that you need a specialized cast-iron Takoyaki pan (to cook over a stove) but I have also heard that you can get electric versions of a Takoyaki pan.

Does anyone have any insight as to where I can procure one of these locally (either pan or electric version)? I know you can get them on ebay but I'd like to handle the goods before I purchase one. Maybe a specialty Japanese store or a kitchen equipment shop? Any guesses?

I'd also appreciate any tips ya'll have on making Takoyaki!

Thanks!

What to eat at Del Posto?

Going there tonight for a business dinner. What have you chowhounders got to recommend for me in an appetizer and a entree?

Thanks

Haloumi/Halloumi Cheese -- Where can I find it?

Anyone know where in Manhattan or slightly outside of it (willing to travel by MTA) I can buy Halloumi (spelling) cheese?

Need me some Halloumi!

Moon House on Bayard in Chinatown. $3 gets you a rack of 8. My favorite spot. It's a small location though.
