best prepared salsa?

It's el pinto salsa from NM. It's the best! You can sometimes get it at sams club in a big container. We love both the red and roasted green Chile salsa.

You're welcome:) you can really have alot of fun with it, and it's very yummy, and pretty layered in a tall, fancy glass.

You could do a granola parfait bar as part of the main. Or a BLT bar. Mini quiches, and pastries/ muffins also. Or a bagels and lox type bar. Those would be good buffet type ideas.

Help! I'm going BANANAS!

I made yummy banana scones, it's in the Bisquick cookbook. They are actually " chocolate chip scones", but I replaced the choc chips, with diced banana. Just google the recipe. It's like, bisquick, cream, sugar, and the banana, that's it( if I remember correctly). Oh ya, I added lemon zest to the batter, and made a lemon glaze .

What's For Breakfast?

I had kuerig flavored Butter Toffee coffee, and then Gingerbread flavored coffee, both with half & half cream. Then a whole wheat tortilla topped with lots of spicy brown mustard, lots of fresh spinach, and a few slices of turkey lunchmeat; all rolled up burro style. really yummy breakfast!

Hot cocoa DRY mix recipe - best practices

Oh ya, also, I really like Tasters Choice instant coffee, and maybe you could dip plastic spoons into caramel, then that shell type ice cream sauce to " seal" the caramel onto the spoons.

Hot cocoa DRY mix recipe - best practices

I find that cinnamon glops up into a slimmy mess at the bottom of cup. The Andes mint will melt, fun idea!! What about those cherry flavored chips. You could chop those up, better yet, Andes brand makes like 4 seasonal flavors. The mint, cherry, and I can't remember what eles, lol:). Maybe make a vanilla sugar, and try a white hot cocoa. As for mini marshmallows, just get the small ones, and cut them in half or leave whole. Also, try the hot cocoa mix on the hersheys tub, and write the liquid directions and cooking instructions on your favor tag.

2 lbs of fruit and veg pulp .

What about a fruit leather with the fruit pulp, and some fruit juice, or yes, quick breads. Or a fruit syrup to put over ice cream, or yogurt, or pancakes. You could even add the fruit pulp yo regular jam, and use it to make a bar(like those apricot jam bars). For the veg pulp, sautee it with onions, and garlic(a cup or so of pulp), & butter, evoo, and add it to cooked rice. Or use some of it in a pasta sauce. Or make a veggie lasagna.:) and can add some to meatballs.

What Do You Cook Best?

Im a really basic home cook, not authentic at all! But, I like to use either ground meat , or cut up chicken breast, cooked with beans. Either black, kidney, whole pinto, or ranch beans, bbq beans. Its fun to use different types! Then the toppings...... Even shredded meat with bbq sauce is fun as a filling.

Potato Gnocchi- Serving ideas?

I once made a crockpot soup. It was a creamy chicken and homemade gnocchi soup. When the soup was ready, I dropped the gnocchi in, and let them simmer like dumplings. It was really yummy!!

What Do You Cook Best?

My hubby just told me it's my tacos/burritos, pizzas, and cabbage burgers. I love making pizzas, or tacos/burros because I use so many flavors, textures, and colors. It makes everything soooo yummy!:)

Ideas for Improving Commercial Coleslaw?

my family loves it the way it is! Maybe add a diced granny Smith apple though. Or rinse it off, and use Cesar salad dressing, and halved cherry tomatoes.

How to use stuff you might otherwise discard?

Im so frugal, so when any bottle of condiment runs out, I save the container until "ready to use". For instance, salsa jars get a little water and I shake it up , and use that when I make tacos, or beans, along with other spices. Also ketchup/mustard bottles get a little water, only a couple tblspns per bottle, and use those when I make bbq style meatloaf, or baked beans. Jam or pancake bottles get water also, and that goes into pancake batter, or some type of sweet batter. You get the idea!:)

HELP! DIY Caramel Apple Bar

Those caramel apple wraps might be best. They are in the produce area, I think, and are caramel wraps you can put around the apple. i've never used them, but might work well for the park.

Would you trust this home canned apple butter to be safe for consumption?

Ya, that's a tricky question!:) I would prob not trust it. I've used canning recipes for apple butter, and never had probs with it, and I think I only used lemon juice as the acidic. When I can things, I really stick to the recipe. As for the bubbles, might not be a problem. Maybe open the jars up, re boil, re fill, get the bubbles out, and re process.

Let's talk about Liverwurst.

Growing up, my mom always bought Oscar Meyer brand, and us kids called it "goose liver". My mom served it on soft bread with mayo, cheddar cheese, and a slice of tomatoes.

Addicting Snack/No-bake treats.. to Ship

I really love to make bark for Christmas! I do white chocolate with dried cranberries/almonds, or chocolate with crushed candycane, or you can do any candy for the holiday, and a white or chocolate base. Even swirl patterns. My sis in law does homemade flavored nuts, and chocolate dipped hard buttery pretzels, fudge(get creative). Homemade hot cocoa mix.

Why are we wasting so much food?

Can't tell if you are joking, or not, but for the price I have to pay for food( full price), m not going to settle for, " past expiration date", or "bruised produce". If the price is marked down well enough, I DO buy almost expired everything! I've never gotten sick either.
