St. George's Greek Festival in Philly
Anyone know if they're doing this again? Can't find any info online.
Irish Breakfast in Center City
Try Irish Times on 2nd and Bainbridge - they have it on weekends. Have never been there for brunch so I can't say how authentic it is.

Arancini-Fried Rice Balls
Stella has okay ones, not for takeout. They're good but $7 for three small (golf ball size).
My last Trader Joes email mentioned they have frozen bags of them. Maybe not what you're looking for but would do in a pinch.
Nothing like the ones you could get on the street in Siracusa. Baseball sized crispy crusted creamy pea and prosciutto studded deliciousness for a euro.
Bars in Philly that can handle a group of 25-30 people on a Friday night?
I'm not really a fan of LG's food, but their beer selection is good and the staff in my experience has been very helpful. To clarify, I would recommend LG as a bar, but not for food. I was thinking the OP was looking for drinks only.

North of the library there are some options that might be less crowded. St. Stephen's green has a basement bar which admittedly I have never been to but a friend had a birthday party there with about 25 people. It's only a few blocks from the library. I've been to the upstairs many times and they have a great beer selection and friendly staff. 17th and green street
Urban Saloon is a bit further but still very walkable (or probably $5 cab fare) and is huge. I'm sure you can reserve tables and they have plenty of room. However I have had problems with the service there... they mean well but sometimes have problems when it's really crowded. I haven't been there in over a year so things may be different. It's sort of a generic bar vibe. 21st and fairmount
London Grill used to have an upstairs private room with bar. Not sure if they still do but that would fit the bill. 23rd and fairmount
50/50 soda
Canfields - grapefruit/lime. SO refreshing and delicious with vodka.

50/50 soda
Does anyone know where I can buy 50/50? It's a grapefruit/lime flavored pop I haven't seen in years.
Where can I get Schweppes Bitter Lemon?
I just picked up a liter at the shoprite in south philly.
Philly-area waterfront restaurants
Try the manayunk brew pub - nice deck area on the schuykill. You would have to call to ask about parking but I think there is more in that area than in center city.

Don't cringe....Restaurant Week (Jan 25-30)
I'm trying to decide between Amada and Tinto.... thoughts?
Montgomery Cty. service help
I would put a post on craigslist - when I was in college in that area my roomate and I got a couple of those sort of gigs that way.
byob in near west burbs
Hi, am going to be in town this weekend and going to a party on Saturday in Lansdown. Am looking for a place to go to dinner beforehand in that general area. Ardmore, Narberth, Bala, Wynnewood, Havertown, Drexel Hill would all be fine. Upper Darby/Lansdown would be great too, but I don't know if there's much there? We're a group of 6 twenty something girls looking for something a little bit trendy, preferably byob but open to anything. Places we've been and loved are trio (fairmount) and effies - if that helps give a reference. Type of cuisine doesn't matter too much as long as it's good!
