Noooooo, say it ain't so the BEST Q I ever ate while in the state of SC was at Sgt Whites. I hope he'll hang around till Dec so I can visit him one last time. Its been over 10 years since I ate there and it made an impact it was that good. I hope Sgt White has a great retirement.

They have a great buffet with really good Q and the price is fair. You may also want to try Swetteys BBQ located at 1219 Radford Blvd Dillon, SC 29536 (right down the street). I believe both of these are located off the first exit past South of the Border very convenient to I-95.

I really like the Barbecue Hut in Fayetteville NC, very good Q and the hush pupies are great.

These two establishments Melvins & Cains grill have been going at it for year's in Bladen Co. NC. Both serve great burgers but I believe Melvins to have the better dog(but you cant go wrong either way IMHO). They both serve the "classic Carolina" dog a red dog with southern style chopped cole-slaw, onions and with mustard and chili. Melvis has since branched out and is under new ownership. Cains is still located on Hwy 53.
