Hi all! I've been searching the board for a Borough Market thread that discusses all the great treats to chase down while at the market. It may be operator error, but I can't seem to find one. Any help? I've seen Kappacasein mentioned several times, so that's definitely on my list. |

Just saw this restaurant mentioned here: http://www.traterra.com/travel-like-a... I may check it out on our upcoming May trip! |

Critique my Paris plans, I did research! Dang it, now I just saw this: http://www.traterra.com/travel-like-a... The problem with planning so far out if you keep getting more information! |

Critique my Paris plans, I did research! Is it truly $600-$800 (american dollars) per couple? We would clearly go cheap on wine, but just trying to wrap my head around the cost. Thanks for the replies everyone! |

Critique my Paris plans, I did research! Hmmmm, it looks like La Regalade St Honore might fit my price point as well. Worth giving up any of the other restaurants for? I'd really appreciate your feed back! |

Critique my Paris plans, I did research! Hi all! Talk about an exhaustive chowhound research extravaganza! I think I might have my dinners planned out for my 5/28-5/31 trip, but would love your opinion. Here's are those details you love to ask: For Wednesday and Thursday: My top choices at the mid range price are Chez Denise, Dans Les Landes, and Les Papilles. Since we have so many cuisine choices in San Francisco, I feel like sticking to “French” food, but don't really have it narrowed down to type. Can't wait to hear your opinion! |

Restaurants with draft root beer Hi all! I know there's a huge thread discussing local root beers, but I'm more interested in great San Francisco restaurants with root beer on draft. I searched the boards but didn't find a ton of answers. |

Cooking for mother w/health problems Help! First off, I don't know how to cook. Second, I will be caring for my mother after a back surgery and have to feed her for a week. Third, she is both diabetic and has GERD, an intense acid reflux disorder. Not only can she not have a lot of sugar, she also has to avoid the following foods: heavy dairy (cream or cream of anything, butter, etc), citrus fruits, tomatoes or tomato products, garlic, anything spicy or fried, or onions. I was hoping for some easy crockpot recipes, but they all seem to have tomato something, cream of something soup, copious spices or onions, or all of the above. Do any of you kitchen geniuses have an idea? |

I reached out to Navarro and they'll set up a juice tasting just like you'd do a wine tasting! We probably won't go out for a month or two, but I'll post a review. |

I recently read an article about a traditional Russian New Year's Eve meal: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/2011.... It sounds amazing! Is there anywhere in San Francisco that puts on such a feast? I'd definitely stay up past midnight for that. |

Hi all! I recently went to Chez Panisse, and when they learned no one in the party drinks, they offered us a high end grape juice that was clearly from a vineyard. It got me to wondering, are there any local wine country vineyards that produce some sort of non-alcoholic grape juice? I'd love to set up a grape juice tasting so I can also enjoy the beauty of wine country with my wine drinking friends. |

Ritz Half Moon Bay Christmas Brunch Hi all! Has anyone tried the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay Christmas Brunch before? My husband and I are staying home Christmas and are looking for some place fun to go. Although I'm a foodie, he definitely is not, so a holiday buffet serves us well. We've done the Cliff House before, but since it's fairly mediocre, I was hoping for something with better food quality. (I know, buffet and better food quality are usually not terms that go together!) What do you think? |

Thanks hyperbowler and vulber! My tastes are low bor enough to skip the Asian dessert, but Wing Wings and Nopa sound good. Any other suggestions? I'd even do a good pie. |

Hi fellow chows! I have an confession to make: I like simple, old school desserts. I love a foodie dinner, but several times I've skipped the dessert menu to make a run by Bob's for some doughnut dessert instead. That being said, any good suggestions for some late night/after our dinner reservations place for a comfort, throwback dessert? Think ice cream, doughnuts, milkshakes, baked goods (cupcakes, cookies, cake), etc. Please keep the suggestions to places in San Francisco (any neighborhood), places open after 10, and bonus points for easy parking. Thanks in advance! |

Thanks, I passed along the info! |

Hi! I have a friend that recently moved from Serbia and is missing great Serbian food. She's willing to go anywhere in the metro area, city, peninsula, San Jose, east bay, etc. Anyone have any ideas? I tried searching and didn't see anything. |

I've been doing some board research, but there don't seem to be any board favorites for good sushi in Sacramento. Everyone seems to have ther own favorite. Any place everyone agrees on? |

Whats the best sandwich/picnic food you can get for a a day at Golden Gate Park? Fredy's Deli! Only a few blocks off Ocean Beach, at the end of the park. Expect a 30 minute wait to get a sandwich and make sure to get it on sourdough with everything. To die for. |

Can you help me find a good sushi lunch near Shady Canyone Golf Club in Irvine? I did a little board research, but can only find Wasa, 10 miles away. Anything tasty and somewhat closer? I need it to be open for lunch on a Wednesday. |

I just moved here in September, but I wanted to participate. Here’s my list: |

Has anyone gone to this before? I can't tell if this is more of a food thing or a young people drinking thing. I want it to be like an indoor Off the Grid. |

What's the word on Kirimachi Ramen on Broadway? We went tonight since we live in North Beach. Even my non foodie husband loved it! We tried one of each kind, we liked the pork bone broth MUCH better than the Sapporo Miso broth. Don't get me wrong, the latter was also good, but not as rich. And the meat in the ramen just melted in your mouth. I'm already craving another bowl. |

Restaurant.com's 80% off sale - where and what to eat? Bumping this, would love to get some current input on good restaurants on restaurant.com. Most of the threads are fairly outdated. |

Dinner, maybe around 7:30 or 8:00 start time, and probably only 4 of us. |

Sorry, forgot to report back. This was an amazing night, I'd do it again. Unfortunately, the group was too full for La Santaneca though. I won't bring lightweight next time! :) |

Hi all! After you led me on an incredible food crawl around Misison District, I was hoping for a similar plan for Chinatown. I've read through several Chinatown threads, but I can't find anything that would make a good dinner food crawl schedule. Help please? My only requirements are that I prefer places with seating that are all walkable once you get to Chinatown. And yes, all fantastic Chinese food. (Although I already know you're going to tell me the best Chinese isn't in Chinatown, so just the best you can find there.) Feel free to give me other food crawl ideas. I love doing them, any neighborhood is fine with me as long as it's in the city. Thanks! |

Hi fellow 'hounders! I searched the board, but didn't find anything written up about Okoze, a small neighborhood sushi bar in Russian Hill on Union and Hyde. My husband and I tried it out last night. I'm terrible at food writeups, but I just wanted to post and say we were plesantly surprised. Jam packed at 7:00 on a Thursday night, but our service was still very attentive. I ordered the Omakase sushi dinner: 12 pieces of nigiri, a small roll, 2 pieces of ebi tempura, and miso soup, all for $40. The miso was actually very rich. I'm not sure if it's authentic or not, but it's the first miso soup that actually tasted like anything to me. The nigiri was 11 pieces of fish (didn't ask what was what) and 1 scallop. The scallop was to die for and the majority of the fish was very fresh. Some of the pieces had what I call "toppings" on them, chopped scallion, a little ponzu, etc but only a few. My husband and I will definitely come back. |

Thanks for all the great responses! I think my plan is to do Farolito, La Taqueria, La Santaneca, Mission Pies, and Humphrey Slocumbe. We will definitely be going at peak hours (7:00-ish on a Saturday night) so I'll probably shoot myself in the foot on wait times, but whatever. Just to confirm, are all of these places open in the 7-10pm range on a Saturday night? ----- La Taqueria La Santaneca |

This is fantastic! We'd be going for dinner....and we definitely don't mind 9,000 calories. :) |

HI all! Looking for a specific itinerary for a "show off the Mission District to guests" food crawl. Things I would like it to include: 1. At least 1 mission style burrito stop Go! |
