New in Vero Beach Grilligans Grilled Cheese

Thank you grampart. So now for my review. We went to Grilligans twice now. Tried the White Album. Grilled cheese (cheddar), bacon, thinly sliced granny smith apple and a touch of mustard. What a delight. Next we tried the Cuban, it is a Cuban sandwich on a round bun. It was great. Lastly I tried the veggie sandwich, it was splendid. Their chips are a nice selection too, They also have Pepsi products which is my favorite. Ok so they have the nod from me. Go get a sandwich and enjoy. I have not tried the shakes yet so I guess there is still more to explore.

New in Vero Beach Grilligans Grilled Cheese

Looks like VB has a new place in town for a bite. It is called Grilligans Grilled Cheese. Their menu looks interesting. I have not been there just yet but, give me a break. It just opened yesterday. Many of you know me as the one who gets to a place two days before the doors open. Am looking forward to checking them out. They are in the South VB shopping center at US1 and Oslo. I will give you my feedback soon.

Disappointment in WPB for Dim Sum

Anyone have a place closer to the Treasure or Space coast to recommend? We live in V(Z)ero Beach.

Disappointment in WPB for Dim Sum

It was my birthday and I wanted to have Dim Sum. When looking at what was close we ended up to going to West Palm Beach to a place called Grand Lake Chinese Cuisine. We arrived at 12:30. They are a smaller restaurant so you are given a list to fill out like you sometimes do for Sushi. We made our choices that looked very promising. Each selection from sui mai to fun gor was either overcooked and rubbery or when you bit into something it spewed out the oil like it was drenched in it. i think I will wait to go back to Tampa for TC Choys for my next Dim Sum hankering. If anyone knows of a Dim Sum on the east coast of Florida, please post.

Vietnamese Sushi?- Vero Beach

You may not want to revisit Saigon Bistro (name is now Saigon Sushi??) that has moved to another location in Vero Beach. Now on 14th and 18th (one block south of the French Quarter rest.).
It looks like they are more focused on their sushi dishes than Vietnamese. The Basil Duck was so boney I left half behind on my plate. I also shared a bowl of the rice noodles (Bun) with the Curry Beef. The noodles were so soggy they fell apart. Such a disappointment. They are still the most friendly staff but perhaps need more focus on their kitchen this time.
If I want duck, I will go back to the Bangkok. For noodles, I will go back to the Ban and Pho' I make.

Pizza in Palm Harbor??

Will try it out. One place to NEVER GO is Bambinos on Alt 19 in Dunendin. I was so disappointed in the Pizza, I nearly took it back to ask them if they had EVER even eaten a pizza before. This made Tostinos frozen pizza look like the best in New York. It is next to a great Mexican place call Zarapa (real food try the Sopes)

Artisan Breads in Pinellas County

Where can you find REAL bread? Baguettes, Ciabatta, Como, German Rye, etc. We are spoiled from Seattle's artisan bakers and bakeries. Help.

Questions about Versailles & Little Havana

If you have ANY Chance to get to South Miami, go to the Rio Cristal on Bird Rd (40th) and about 95th. I lived there many years ago and went back after 20 and it was the same rockin' meals. Best black beans and the 'carne guisada' (beef stew) is great! The french fries are not done the American way. these are finely julienned and fried to perfection. Going great with the Palomilla steak. This is a Cheap Eat as well. Ending your meal with flan is the best. Now if you have to go to Versailles, always try the specials for the day.

Pizza in Palm Harbor??

Any ideas where there is a decent pizza in our parts? Just moved here from Vero Beach and it took us long enough to find one there. Also any thoughts on good breads?

In Search of Asian Cooking Supplies

Am off of Alt. 19 in Palm Harbor and looking for a place to restock my kitchen. Need new noodle bowls, soup spoons, real wok, good chop stiks and a good cleaver. Used to go to Viet Wah or Uwajimaya in Seattle for all the goodies. I do see there may be a place in Tampa. Do we have to go that far?
