A new favorite in New Orleans! Montrel's Bistro!

If you are looking for non-pretentious atmosphere and great fresh food, check out Montrel's Bistro at 1000 Decatur St. in the Quarter. Newly re-opened at this location after Katrina destroyed their original rstaurant.
Our family of 5 recently enjoyed our dinner there, each of us having something different. Crawfish etoufee, red beans and rice, shrimp creole, crab stuffed ravioli in alfredo sauce, fried seafood platter...all of it fresh and cooked to perfection.
No wait staff nightmares here...all very friendly and attentive with great recommendations.
Check it won't be disappointed!

One night in New Orleans

Greetings from northeast Wisconsin!
Taking the family on a cruise Mid-January, leaving from New Orleans, arriving the day before the cruise.
We will be staying 2 blocks from the Quarter at Le Richleu.
We are all adults (5 of us) and truly love good food.
Where would you go that has entrees at around the $20 level with good seafood and perhaps a decent steak?
Where would you then go to have a drink and enjoy some jazz and/or blues after dinner?
Thanks in advance!
