Catering - Bethesda/Rockville/Silver Spring

I'm looking for catering for an in-home bridal shower in Kensington, MD, for about 20 people.

Suggestions for catering companies or restaurants that would deliver (or aren't too bad a drive from Kensington)? I'd prefer something other than cliched finger sandwiches!

Thanks much.

Labor Day brunch?

Does anyone know of restaurants that serve brunch on Labor Day? Do restaurants even do that sort of thing?

I'm meeting out of town friends for a meal around 11:00, and the hour leads me to think a brunch-type situation would be best, but I have no idea if this is even an option on a holiday Monday. We're looking at the Chelsea/Flatiron/Union Square area.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Good Pizza w/in 10 blocks of W.63rd & Bway?

When I used to work in that 'hood a few years ago, my two favorite slice places were:

La Traviata, on 68th Street by the movie theater. Total hole in the wall and very easy to miss, but the slices were always outstanding.

Rigoletto, on Columbus between 69th and 70th (I think). Really yummy slices with some interesting toppings.

Hope those places are still good, I used to love them.

Kid-, Adult-friendly near Port Authority

I'm looking for a good, kid-friendly place to take my sister and 3 1/2 year old nephew to lunch after they come in on the bus from Jersey this week. I'd like something good for the munchkin and also good for us grownups.

We'll be heading up to the Natural History museum afterwards, so UWS recs would be okay too.

Thanks!

Wilmington - outdoor dining?

Thank you! I love Buckley's but didn't know they had a deck. I'll check that out.

Wilmington - outdoor dining?

I'm looking for a good place for a bridesmaid luncheon the day before my wedding this June. I'd love a place with the option of outdoor dining, with great food and a casual atmosphere.

Wilmington would be best, but other parts of New Castle County or southern Chester County would be okay too.

Thanks!

Brunch pick in/near Soho?

I'm looking for a nice but not outrageously expensive place to take the bridesmaids in my upcoming wedding for Saturday brunch after an outing to buy their dresses at a shop near Broadway and Prince.

Any recommendations for close-by Saturday brunch or lunch spots? All are fairly easy to please, but I'd like something a little special.

Thanks!

Baltimore "meet the parents" rec?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a restaurant in Baltimore, easily accessible from 95, where my parents can meet my fiance's parents (my family is in Pennsylvania and his is outside of DC, so we thought that Baltimore was good middle ground).

We're thinking Sunday brunch. My dad suggested something in the Inner Harbor -- is there anything decent there? As far as cuisine goes, nothing too out-there -- neither family is particularly adventurous.

As long as the food is good and the restaurant is easy to find from 95, it should be fine. Thanks in advance!
