I am fickle. But I usually gravitate towards a salad and a one pot main dish. I am on a cassoulette kick lately. But do beans really make sense at a dinner party? You decide.
My favorite comfort food:
Stuff my mom made us as children. Mashed taters 'n' gravy, gooey mac 'n' cheese. Basically, anything with a 'n' in the name.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Not sure. I used to travel for biz and ate out almost every night. Now I eat mostly at home. Not sure anymore. Every time I go to town I eat sushi, pho and anything Korean. Stuff I don't want to make at home.
My most tattered cookbooks:
Whole Grain Breads by Machine or Hand by B. Ojakangas. It is goopy and threadbear. I am currently enjoying reading The Turkish Cookbook by N. Ilkin. Fabulous read, thorough and beautiful pics
