Easter Sunday in Venice/Santa Monica

My family will be taking a trip to Venice/santa Monica. We are looking for a moderately priced option for Easter Sunday dinner. We are open to ethic restaurants as well. 3 kids in tow 9, 14 and 15.

Birthday dinner for 2 in Laguna

Visiting Laguna next week and looking for a nice spot, but not necessarily wanting to break the bank with average food and a bit of an ocean view. Advice from Lagunatics? Will consider all types of food.

Cafe Hiro, Cypress - Still Good?

WOW! Was just going to post the same topic. (Saturday night as well) I've never been and would love some recommendations.

5 top: this Saturday night, moderate $ Long beach and Local Surrounding

Would love any top 5 lists for moderate priced restaurants in the Long Beach and surrounding areas.

Thoughts on Nico's or Fora in Naples?

Celebrating a birthday, just 2 of us. Have been to Bono's and Christy's. Looking to try something new in the Naples, Belmont Shore area.

Long Beach Eateries?

I echo all the suggestions from LBQT. Seal Beach has a great atmosphere and is not far from you. I'd also add The Abbey on Main Street in Seal Beach for a great little bar/restaurant. They have some good happy hour specials. If you like beef, The Greenfield on PCH in Long Beach is a fun Churrascaria. Tantalum, also off PCH in Long Beach has got a great Alamitos Bay view, though the food can be a hit and miss. I think it's worth a try just for the Bali-like atmosphere. Also, I've only been once, but had a great time at Cafe Sevilla on Pine. Lively place with some decent tapas.

Taking Thai friend to Thai dinner tonight - Suggestions?

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Pink Pepper in Hollywood. Maybe not the most authentic, but I think the food is delicious.

Best Cupcakes in OC or South LA County

Having a party for @ 80. Like Sprinkles but would like some other suggestions.

Cheap Eats in OC

went last week - great!

Cheap Eats in OC

I love to dine out. But let's face it, most of us don't have the luxury of spending a Thursday night out at Ortolan or Mastros. Like many of you on a budget, I have embraced ethnic restaurants. Who amongst us has not gone fine dining, been completely disappointed and wished out loud they had just went to that great Thai or Mexican place?
So I'm looking for your fav's in OC on a budget. They can be of any cuisine - just a little easy on the pocket. Love those lists from the hardcore foodies.

Bistro-ish in Pasadena Area

I would definitely go with Cafe Bizou. Nice bistro atmosphere, consistently good food, $2 Corkage fee if you're so inclined, AND they have many of the items on your list.

Great Thai in Long Beach or North OC?

Really missing all LA's great Thai restaurants. Haven't found a new favorite since relocating. Any suggestions?

Anaheim Accidental Tourist

Has the feel of fine dining - but people definitely dressed way down on the 2 nights I went (I think the Stanton address plays a big part). We loved the Lobster and Corn Fritters and the Bone-in Ribeye. They also usually have a 3 or 4 course monthly special.

4oth birthday dinner in Long Beach

anyone else care to weigh in? Has anyone been to The Skyroom?

What happened to Doughboys?

I agree with Woolsey. I never quite got the Doughboy fever. Quality Restaurant down the street may not be the place to see and be seen, but the food is far better.

Anaheim Accidental Tourist

Park Avenue Restaurant on Beach Blvd in nearby Stanton is a fun Rat Pack type ambience, with classic American cuisine. If you're on a budget, all Appetizers are half priced between 4-6 and $2 Drafts and drink specials.

breakfast burrito?

If you're up for the trek, Nicks on Main St. in Seal Beach has developed a loyal following with surfers, business people, ect..

Thoughts on Simon/LA at The Sofitel

Can anyone give me some feedback on Simon and The Stone Rose Lounge at The Sofitel?

Lunch Near LACMA/Mid-Wilshire Area

Campanile seems like a great choice. Wonderful food and impeccable service.

Anniversary Diner Suggestion (southern CA)

The Penthouse Restaurant at The Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica has one of the most amazing views of the Santa Monica Coastline. Check out the website. Very Romantic.

4oth birthday dinner in Long Beach

Any suggestions for a memorable dinner spot for a 6 top in the Long Beach area? I know the view at the Sky Room is tough to beat, but what about the food?
