Good Vegetarian Restaurant near Soho?
I am visiting NYC next month and would like to take my vegetarian brother out to dinner withour having him fret over whether chicken stock is in his vegetarian entree, etc. Any delicious vegetarian restaurants in or near Soho? Or restaurants that are kind to veg-heads? They can be Health Food Store casual or formal- just not into Indian spices. Thanks-
Ft. Lauderdale...Plantation?
There's a geat restaurant 15 minutes west on 595, in Weston, called Piazza Ben Venuto. They have great Italian food, wine list and a separate dining room in the back. Call 'em you won't be sorry. I've eaten there many times and always go back for more.
Vienna cafe is over rated. Too bad about La Brochette- I've heard they are excellent.
Dining in Davie over Thanksgiving
I always enjoy Whole Foods for lunch on University, north of 595. They have great hot and cold selections, great soups and a healthy salad bar. There's a dining area in the front of the store after you pay at the cash register. I will reccomend Moon Thai on Weston Road for dinner. They have everything from sushi to teriyaki items. It's great for finicky folks as there are both a Thai and Japanese menu. I'm sorry but I am a hugh fan of the Carrabba's chain and they have a restaurant on University north of 595 as well. I have neer been but want to try La Brochette in the Pembroke Pines/ Davie area.
Top Restaurants?? - Weston, Plantation, Davie
Don't know if this is too late, but I always enjoy anything I order at Moon Thai on Weston Road. Try the whole steamed snapper for a healthy great tasting treat. Piazza ben venuto at the far end of Weston is great Italian. The korean place is way cool too. I just ate at The Catch of the Day and it wasn't. It was fresh seafood but oh so boring. The Cheese Course has great sandwiches for lunch.
