saving cafe atlantico. want to try estadio-i hear it is yummy. been to tabard inn. heard of georgia browns.
we ended up at chef geoffs downtown. it was ok. it was good not great. service was a little off and the food is nothing to write home about. i do like the atmosphere though.

Looking for a fun place for Sunday Brunch to celebrate the boyfriend's birthday. Would like something with a beverage option if possible. Looking for something fun but yummy as well. Live music is a plus but not required. We are in our late 20's and just moved here from NYC. I read something about Twist having a good brunch. I want to be in DC. We live in VA and will be in the city all day. Thoughts??

I am thinking of sending my colleague here with our German boss for a nice but casual business dinner next week. I was thinking Alto but that seems a bit too much. I've never been to this location but I remember loving the food. Is this a good option?
Dinner needs to be between Grand Central and The Peninsula on 55th & 5th-closer to the hotel is best.

i second pita joe. so delicious. the meatball shop just opened les, supposed to be really good. defonte's for a yummy sandwich. shake shack. motorino has a $12 lunch special..i didn't love motorino but it seems to be the new best pizza. artichoke pizza if you can stand the line.

i did not pick sammys and i don't want to go but i might have no choice. im trying to create an argument for the bf so i or we don't have to go. a friend organized the dinner for a group of people but i am not in a position to ask to change the location. if i'm spending $100+ pp on dinner i want a fantastic meal. so annoyed.

as for dinner fig and olive, kittichai, la esquina, po & boqueria. so many good spots downtown.
second date in the Chelsea/West Village area
alta is a good spot. you can share plates which will add some romance perhaps. scarpetta, socarrat wine bar, cookshop.
Where's the best "real" Gnocchi?
i've never been to apizz but on my list to try. however mia dona makes an amazing gnocchi. i believe they change it up but i had one 2 weeks ago that was delicious. it was in a white sauce but it was pillowy and delicious.

the regular is good not mind blowing. i thought the white pizza with spinach was mind blowing. i also didn't love motorino though.

quality meats is a good place and has vegetarian options. i'm sure you always get this but bryant park grill might be a good option as well for your dinner.

bianca for dinner (italian( is a great deal. it is cash only and no reservations but the food is worth the wait as well as the price.
