Dinner recommendations for single woman traveller

I'm a single woman who will be in Montreal for 4 days at the end of the month and am looking for some dinner recs. I don't mind spending $ for a great meal and have no issues sitting by myself at a table or at the bar to eat (I've done it in many countries). I've had experiences before however when making a reservation for one didn't go so well so I'm looking for some single friendly places to have a few great meals. Aside from a shellfish allergy I'm open to anything and would love to find a place or two that uses local, seasonal ingredients. I'm looking more for great food than trendy ambience and I love going to the places where locals, not tourists go. I'm staying at the Loew's Hotel Vogue but being a NYer I'm used to travelling by subway so I don't think location will be a big problem.

Son Cubano or Calle Ocho

Well it certainly seems like a split vote so far. I'm open to other suggestions if you have any. The main requirement is good food, not super expensive and a casual, rather than a formal, yet still suitable for business atmosphere.

Son Cubano or Calle Ocho

I'm hosting a casual business dinner for 6 next Thursday. This group gets together every few months and we always try to pick a different cuisine. Location doesn't really matter and even though it's a business dinner it can't be super expensive. I've eaten at Son Cubano before but not Calle Ocho. Any thoughts? Or any other suggestions for something fun and casual that isn't Italian (that was our last dinner). Thanks!!!

Fun Casual Business Dinner

I also wanted to say that location is not a criteria. Another place I'm considering is Son Cubano.

Fun Casual Business Dinner

I'm looking for a spot for a fun casual business dinner for a group of 6 for next Thursday. Even though it's a business dinner it can't be super expensive. My first thoughts were either Otto or Calle Ocho so you have an idea of what I'm thinking. Any other suggestions?

Drinks Near Public Theater

I'm going to a show at the Public Theater on Lafayette tomorrow night and am looking for a place nearby for a drink and some appetizers before the show. Any thoughts?

Accademia de Vino - UES

Has anyone been here since it opened (3rd Ave and 64th St)? I've read very mixed reviews. It's in my neighborhood and I'm always on the lookout for somplace new.

UES Business Dinner

Thanks for the suggestions so far. This is a fun group which is why I want to try and stay away from anything to formal. Has anyone been to Maya on 1st Avenue lately? I'm not so concerned about price for this dinner, just that we have a great meal and a good atmosphere.

UES Business Dinner

I need to find a place on the Upper East Side for a business dinner. More fancy than a neighborhood spot but definitely not a formal white tablecloth experience either. The cuisine doesn't matter but the food has to be really good. We have someone coming in to meet us straight from LGA which is why this neighborhood is the most convenient. Any suggestions?
