Who has the best hummus?
Babafoods.com Found them @ Temecula farmers market. They also sell their products @ Costco. But as you know, Costco will limit your choices. Best bet is to buy directly from baba foods.
Italian Beef in SoCal
Been to East Side Deli many times, I usually get the DA Special. A slammin sandwich in its own rite...but it's not an Italian Beef Chicago style.

Italian Beef in SoCal
Been there, done that. I thought it was eh. There's gotta be more out there. Definitely going to Portillo's when I get back. Appreciate all the suggestions. Thanks, keep'em coming.
Italian Beef in SoCal
I grew up on Pinocchios. Loved the place when the original owner/father "ran the store", until he passed on the business to the daughter. After that, it was a downward spiral from there. Haven't been in 3 years. Last visit was just as disappointing. Any other suggestions for Italian Beef, in SFV/LA County?

Portillos in Chicagoland is where I went. Might it be a franchise of the original?
Italian Beef in SoCal
In Chicagoland on business, had great Italian Beef sandwich w spicy sausage. Where in SoCal can we go for Chicago style Italian Beef, for when I get back home?

How do I go about finding out...???
I'm looking for Mimis Cafe Chicken sausage they serve @ breakfast, Also the smoked sausage/hot link they sell @ Famous Dave's BBQ. How do I go about finding out where they buy it or who their vendor/provider is so I can by some for home. I seriously doubt they make it there at the restaurants. Any Ideas?

Peruvian Food: Los Balcones del Peru, Mamita's and Mario's
Don't expect good service @ Marios, you go there for the food and "deal" with the sub par service. Despite their sucess @ the same location for over 20 years if I'm correct, they haven't found the need to expand to a bettter, more convenient location for the convenience of their customers, who've made them sucessful, or improved on their service. People still keep going. I guess they must be doing something right, because they're always busy. Their thought must be, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
Size Up on FRED62...Anyone been?????
Reading thru some of the "Best of" reviews in the L.A. Weekly, and was looking @ the http://www.fred62.com/index.html website menu. It looks good. Any feedback/relies on this place, pros/cons?

BEST CASUAL CUBAN RESTAURANT???
I second Havana Mania. Not because I've been going there for years, from the SFV, and because it's my friend Luis and his family, but because of the extensive reviews h's received over the years. I've had Cuban all over So Cal. and some come close, but never as good as Havana Mania!

Best clam chowder on ocean between MALIBU & SM
Beleive it or not, The Charthouse has great White clam chowder. Suppsedly "Award winning". IMHO better tasting than Gladstones or Malibu Seafood. And its right on the beach, great view. On PCH just south of Topanga.
