Best Places to Eat on S. Padre Island?

Wanna Wanna has good ceviche and their fried shrimp and tilapia is good - but it is def a fry em up with little freshness. I had the blackened redfish at Scampi's and it was good as well. If you're looking for fresh light summer food you are on the wrong island - the food is fried and heavy but you are in south texas baby!!!

Indian for lunch in Dallas area

taj mahal on 75 and meadow is my favorite. nothing fancy though - it is in a strip mall off the highway. their daal makhani is the best i've ever had and the chef guards the recipe like a freemason.

Chinatown dim sum?

I had Chinatown's dim sum for the first time last weekend and I think it is the best in Texas. If you know of better - please post because I want to try it. AustinNYCer - what did you have that was bad? I've liked (often loved) everything I've had there but only been there a few times. I'm a big fan of the beef stock in their wonton soup.

Best local-to-Texas beer

Go for Rio Blanco Pale Ale - a lot like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale but with european "noble" hops instead of cascade - more subtle flavor and #1 on my list for that type of beer.

DFW - Breakfast Spots

I still can't find breakfast tacos in Dallas (mexican groceries and taquerias included). lots of great taco spots but no bfast? What gives - are bfast tacos more of an anglo thing? In austin i could pick up quick or made to order tacos everywhere - what are dallasites eating for bfast anyways?
