Best restaurants in Dnepropetrovsk (or Dnipropetrovsk)

Hi! We will be traveling to Dnepropetrovsk in the new future to visit the family of our former exchange student. We would like to treat the family to a wonderful dinner. We would appreciate any recommendations.

Restaurant between Phillie airport and Harrisburg

Thanks! You gave me quite a few choices. We don't mind going into the city a bit, too, if there are any more suggestions. My hubby isn't too big on Chinese or Indian food. I should have mentioned that earlier...sorry!

Restaurant between Phillie airport and Harrisburg

Hi! We're picking up a passenger at the Phillie airport on Thursday about 5:00 p.m. and heading to Harrisburg. Any suggestions for a good place to eat? Our friend is traveling from eastern Europe and won't have eaten anything but airport/airline food from about 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning until she's with us. Nothing fancy because we won't be dressed for it and I'd like to spend no more than $25 per person on the entrees. Thanks!

What about Arruugga? I don't know if that's the right spelling but it's pronounced like an antique car's horn. They may have a website.

3 Days in Philly - need suggestions

For 4. I know that isn't a lot in Philadelphia.

I didn't mention we're going to do the Philly cheesesteak thing for lunch one day, but we don't need to debate which is the best!

Thanks!

3 Days in Philly - need suggestions

We'll be visiting Philly in late April with a foreign exchange student and our daughter who attends Temple. We are staying at the Embassy Suites and will have a car. We'd like suggestions for lunch and dinner locations. Hubby is a meat and potatoes kind of guy -- he also likes seafood, steak, Italian foods. We'd like to introduce the f.e.s. to some traditionally PA or Philly foods. We'll hit the Reading Terminal Market -- but need more suggestions. Don't mind spending $$ on one nice dinner but would like the second dinner to be less than $100.

Philly - Great food; casual dress

We enjoyed Core de Roma, which I believe is in the 400 block of South Street. It's a family owned restaurant with good food and nice atmosphere, but you don't need the jacket and tie. We are from southcentral PA and have eaten there several times following Temple basketball games and once before a TU football game.

Restaurant need AT&T National

We'll be at the AT&T National this weekend, however we are staying at a hotel in Silver Spring. Anyone have any recommendations for good restaurants in those areas? One of us has celiac disease, so ethnic food can be a problem. Thanks!

Restaurant between Bethesda and Silver Spring

We're going to the AT&T National next Saturday and Sunday and are looking for a nice restaurant for dinner between Bethesda and Silver Spring...no ethnic except Italian. We'd prefer good seafood or steak. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Marco Island Recs

I may have been to Snook Inn last year. Is it in an area sort of like a marina with a stone parking lot that's not very big? Maybe the area is more like a cul-de-sac than a marina (I don't remember seeing boats!).

Tucson - Dolce Vita

The "other" Italian place in the same complex...is that Gavi's? That was recommended to us, but it appeared to be a sports bar so we declined.

We are eating on "per diem" so most of the higher end places are out of our price range. If you can recommend some other places (not only Italian), I'll be glad to pass your thoughts along as another co-worker is heading that way in a week or so.

What do you think of City Grill?

Post-game recommendation

If you're asking where "home" is...we're coming from Harrisburg. If you mean where will we be prior to eating...we'll be in North Philly (Liacorus Center). We're looking for some place laid back and "comfortable" since we'll be coming from the game. The subway is good...driving isn't out, although we'd have to take several cars.
As far as the cost...I just don't want to determine what everyone's pocketbook can withstand, so I said $20 average. I'm figuring the three I'm paying for will run me about $100 with food and tip.

Post-game recommendation

Rabidog, thanks for the suggestions. Bar Ferdinand sounds interesting, but I forgot to mention that my B-i-L has celiac disease and can't eat anything that has wheat in it. Is my assumption correct that the tapas would all be wrapped in something made with wheat?

I also liked the menu for Rose Tattoo, but it looks like they are closed on Sundays.

Do you have any other suggestions? As long as we can get to it by subway or drive fairly easily, we don't mind where we go. One of our group suggested Cuba Libre...what do you think about there? Since we all have a 2 hour drive home, it's not necessary for us to have cocktails although that would be a nice touch. Philly is such a big place with so many choices, but I like recommendations since I'm "in charge" of this adventure!

Thanks in advance,
Dy

Tucson - Dolce Vita

Personalcheffie,
My friend and I both thought it was nutmeg, but perhaps you are right with the cinnamon...regardless, it was terrible! And I'll never go back either! Maybe the next time we visit Tucson we should come to your house to try your marinara... : )

Thanks for the recommendations. Do you know of anywhere that perhaps hasn't been mentioned because its a hole in the wall or an undiscovered gem?

Looking for a suggestion for a group of ten after the Temple/La Salle game on Feb 4th. It will be a early dinner/late lunch at about 4:00. We'd like to keep the entree price around $20 per person.

Thanks in advance,

Tucson - Dolce Vita

In Tucson last week for business and someone recommended Dolce Vita as a good, inexpensive Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't agree! Personally I've never had NUTMEG in my marinara sauce...is this "normal"? My friend had chicken fettucini alfredo, and the sauce was very bland. Portions were large and the price was right, but the lack of flavor made for a very expensive meal. Neither of us ate more than a quarter of our meal!

Does anyone know about nutmeg in marinara sauce?

Marco Island Recs

Any recommendations for Marco Island restaurants? Since the restaurant scene can change and there haven't been any posts on Marco for about a year...can anyone update me? The family doesn't care for anything they consider "way out"...seafood, steak, bbq, chicken, etc., is the way they tend to go.

Thanks in advance,

50th Anniversary Celebration In/Around Harrisburg Area - HELP PLEASE

Hi! We're looking for a GREAT restaurant for celebrating our parents' 50th wedding anniversary in/around the Harrisburg area. I'm sorry but I have to narrow the types of food down...my father isn't fond of Italian (particularly pasta), Indian or anything Asian. We also have three children in tow...all over the age of 13, but still rather picky. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
Thanks!

Breakfast on RT 81 S from Harrisburg PA to Williamsburg VA

Thank you, JohnB. We stuck with RT81 because we were leaving early in the a.m. and would either get in rush hour traffic in Frederick and DC areas or if we went down 15 through VA, we would be sitting behind school buses. Rt 81 is more miles, but at that time of day, less time.

Good Italian restaurant in Philly? Villa di Roma?

If its not too late for me to make another recommendation, try Core di Roma in the 200 block of South Street. It's only about a year old. We've had two WONDERFUL meals there with large groups. Service was top notch. It's a small, family owned place. It was worth our 12 block walk (one way) from the Broad St. line to get there.

One dinner in Williamsburg

We are heading to Wmsburg the end of this week with another couple and are looking for a nice restaurant for dinner. It doesn't have to be pricey...just good food. Please eliminate the Fat Canary, Trellis, A Carroll and Blue Talon from your suggestions--been there, done that. I should mention that one in our party suffers from celiac disease, so unless an Italian restaurant as several entrees other than pasta and without breading, eliminate those suggestions, too. WOW! I sound bossy! I don't mean to, I just would like something different. Any thoughts on Center Street Grill or Backfin? We're never tried those places.

Thanks!

Providence to New London

We stopped at Middle Of No Where Diner. It was very easy to find. The food was good, portions were great, but...the service lacked. We really felt like "out of towners" as the "regulars" all took turns gawking. Our waitress was more interested in talking about her future retirement than getting us our meals and drink refills. Would I go back? Not unless I really had no other choice.
