What's your top 5 favorite places for lunch in OC?

Just went to Lillie Q....the fried chicken was good..I liked that it was smoked and then deep fried with an airy batter. I had the Shrimp and Grits. The problem is when you have had Shrimp and Grits in Savannah and Charleston, you tend to set the bar really high..with that said, it was good....had a kick to it..was it memorable..no ..but it was pretty good. The pulled pork tacos were very good. The cobbler was peach and it was great. The string beans..okay..the corn..sweet and tasty.

Buffet Brunch, Giada and LOS or do I have it wrong? Plus..which downtown restaurant is a must eat?

We were curious about Giada's and have reservations. I heard the portions are small. What was your experience and how was the food?

We were going to take our friends who have never been and we loved Lotus of Siam. I've read a lot of complaints about portion sizes but all in all....still great food?

We loved Wicked Spoon but is there the NEW BEST brunch in Las Vegas? M Hotel? Bacchanal at Caesars? Where?

Has anyone been to Guy Fieri's?

We loved Vitner Grill and sorely miss Rosemary's. How's Todd's Unique Dining>
Thank you !!!1

Mrs Wilkes, Savannah?

Mrs Wilkes is totally worth the wait! Her fried chicken is very very good! Plus the fun of sitting at a communal table with people from all over is fun!....except no one is talking and everyone is eating. We also tried Sisters of the South...if I remember right ..that's what its called. A very small place where its really down home cooking...great chicken. We loved the Pink House for dinner...very good and loved the rolls!

Kid Friendly Restaurant near El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles

Looking for restaurants for lunch to take the girls after seeing a movie at El Capitan. We necessarily don't want a chain restaurant, but is there anything around that has a great menu for adults as well as kids?

Mrs Wilkes, Savannah?

The experience at Mrs Wilkes is unforgettable....we had a terrific time meeting people as we met in line waiting to get in ..which I would do no later than 10am. Once in and seated....silence is golden because everyone is devouring the best fried chicken I've ever had...we kept asking for more wings and they kindly and happily brought us more. The side dishes are as authentic as one can get. We loved it and are trying to find something just as good in Charleston when we visit....otherwise, we may have to drive down to Savannah...lol.

Finishing touches for our first trip to Napa !

Definitely go to Hall Winery in Rutherford...it was a terrific tour and wine tasting in what was a jaw dropping cave and dining room...the chandelier was beyond belief. The wine was fantastic. I canceled my reservations at Press and wished I didn't. We went to Tra Vigne, Redd, and Rutherford Grill. Everyone on the boards love Rutherford, but they have something very similar in OC and it was just okay...very loud and food was nothing to write home about. Redd was good....and Tra Vigne was very good. We went to Pride...that was a great trip and tour as well. Excellent! Schramberg....it was just okay and it was a quick stop. I've been to Cindy's Backstreet...love their dinners and I love love love Brix for Sunday Brunch. We went to Peach Southern Bistro in Napa and loved their lunch....it was very very good.

CELEBRATING 30th anniversary ....where to eat in Napa Valley

I have reservations at Press, Bistro Jeanty, Cole Chop ....though its a very special celebration, I still don't want to pay $68 and over for steak I'm looking for a memorable dinner with great atmosphere and so delicious food. We have been to Tra Vigne and Redd...help me with our 3rd dinner!!!!

Napa Valley ..need help on restaurants..what's your top 5?

We are celebrating our 30th anniversary in Yountville and need to know what restaurants are the places to go for fantastic and delicious food.
We were there 4 years ago and went to Bottega (very disappointed with service and food...but shall we give it a try again?), Cindy's Back Porch,
and Brix.
Now we want something new...love seafood, love steak, California cuisine..
so what's your top 5 places that we must experience?

Road trip from Atlanta to Savannah to Beaufort...where do we stop?????

Update me on The Barrymore and Marche Bacchus...worth going?

As restaurants do, they go through spurts it seems..last time our friends went to The Barrymore, they said it was good but not memorable and according to so many posts on different sites, Marche is on the upswing or just good?

Chada Thai, Vitner Grill, EAT...how am I doing?

We have waited years to go to Todd's and they are closed for vacation, of course, when we want to go. They were so nice to give me suggestions on where I should go. Our all time favorite restaurant was Rosemary's...oh how we miss that place. But we found Vitner's Grill (over Table 34, Marche Bacchus,), Chada Thai (will we miss Lotus of Siam and their deep fried Garlic Prawns by going to Chada...but we love wine and Thai), EAT for lunch, Wicked Spoon for brunch, and now we need to finalize with a great steakhouse. Looking at Charlie Palmer's and seeing what their cut of the week is.....so much food...so much joy!

Just our luck...Todd's closed for two weeks!!! what to do?

After many years of wanting to go to Todd's Unique Dining...they
are off from July 29th to August 15th...because they're going fishing!
Where should we go???? We want something like Todd's...We are going to Chada Thai and narrowing our choices for a steakhouse (that doesn't break the bank)...help!

Top 10 places you have to eat when you are in Savannah..

We will be spending 5 days in Savannah and though there are the "touristy" places, where does one go to for those hidden neighborhood gems?

But...is Local 11 Ten, Vics on the River, Green Truck Pub, Pink House and
Mrs Wilkes ....should we put that on our agenda as well?

Smoqued in Orange?

First...they don't reservations which Gabbi's down the street used to do and realized that people were just leaving...so now they are taking reservations. Smoque....take note. ...especially being in downtown Orange. We were told on a Saturday at 5:00 p.m. it would be a 10 to 20 minute wait...it took about 40 minutes instead. I realize that they are new but someone needs to tell the hostess just to make things smooth and easy for customers, that when you say 10 to 20 minutes, mean it. With that said, we were very pleased with Smoqued. The appetizers are very good. We ordered the 420 Mac...it came in a cute silver bucket and it was layered with cornbread, mac and cheese, chili, bacon, corn, tomatoes, carmelized onions..it was excellent! We shared that but believe me....we each could have ordered one each and be pleased with dinner. Very delicious and tasty. The 2nd appetizer was the Chingaderas...again...great jalapeno popper with bacon, shrimp and dates...the bacon was very very good....and it came with a chipotle sauce. We then ordered the pull pork with two sides. Suggestion...the deviled eggs were not my favorite. I am not a fan of relish in my deviled eggs...I suggested to our waitress, Lauren...who by the way was very attentive and great! I suggested to make a deviled egg without the relish, top it with that excellent bacon and call it bacon and eggs...simple. The pulled pork was very tender....I heard its even better as a sandwich. Sides can make or break a place in a barbque place.. the mac and cheese was just okay, the cole slaw was a bit better and fries were very good. All in all..this place will succeed....lots of flavor and it was nice to be at a bbq place that offered different appetizers that were not common.
