Great delicious Lunch in OC...but where??????
Where can three of us do a great lunch to celebrate my birthday.
Anywhere in OC.......we've been to Paul Martin's, Enoteca,
The Beachcomber at Crystal Cove, Canyon, Sage, Capital Seafood,
and so on...

Christmas Lunch for 20 in Newport/Tustin/Orange area..upscale atmosphere and excellent food...does it exist?
We are doing a Christmas Lunch for our office. We have been to Canaletto's and Ruth Chris.
We would like to try another place for lunch and we would like it to be close to our office in
Tustin...we can go to Newport. Any suggestions? We don't want to be rushed, we want an upscale atmosphere and food that is memorable..any suggestions?
Scarpetta vs Bartolotta vs Milos
We loved Scarpettas at The Cosmopolitan. For appetizers, we had the Creamy Polenta...amazing flavors, smooth and silky, and we loved it. The Raw Yellowtail was fresh and just as good as if we ordered it at Nobu. The Crispy Fritto Miso came all shredded and deep fried and it was light, airy, and very very good. For entrees, we had Duck Foie Gras Ravioli and my husband said it was beyond terrific, he ate it all and the flavors blended so well. I had the Short Rib Agnolotti and it was a dish I will always remember. That good. Our friends had the Roasted Chicken and how simple could that be but he said it was the best chicken he has ever had. His wife choose the Spaghetti and it too looked so simple but the flavors were unbelievable. Desserts were outstanding. I highly recommend Scarpettas and wonder, what other Italian restaurants are just as good if not better?

Help us choose a sushi place....we love sushi and there are just too many choices.
We have been to Nobu and loved it but we have one here in CA. Went to the one at Planet Hollywood and was sorely disappointed...even forgot the name of the restaurant.
After researching..these restaurants seem to come up as highly rated and recommended...what's your
take....where should we go?
OR is there a place where all the locals go for the best sushi?

I know..you're probably saying What???? at The Golden Nugget? But I will tell you that our
steaks were outstanding, if not better than even Mastro's....excellent and perfectly cooked steaks, the service was attentive and felt pampered, and the side dishes were delish...especially the
mushrooms....I ate them like candy.

We've done Mesa Grill ...which the first experience was a disappointment but the 2nd time at lunch was terrific (White Corn Grits with Shrimp..outstanding), we've done Bouchon, we have done the brunches (going to Wicked Spoon though this time for the first time)....we like all food...what's the best place? and what's the best thing you ever ate there?

Where to eat dinner #3....so far Rosemary's (our fav) and Lotus of Siam...
We were informed by Open Table that they were closed. It is one of our favorite restaurants and how sad for it to close but I suspect that they will one day open another with such talent that they have. We haven't been to Vegas for 2 years...any other recommendations for a great breakfast/brunch or lunch? We are going to Scarpettas', Lotus and Vic and Anthonys.

We LOVED LOVED LOVED the food at Rosemary's.....so with our reservations cancelled...where should we go? We love the concept of Rosemary's...so anything close to that? Also...what restaurant has the best steak?

Say it ain't so!!!! Truly one of our favorite restaurants...how sad. I just got noticed from Open Table that my reservation got cancelled and when I called them..no answer. We loved this place. Zov's has amazing desserts...locations are in Tustin, Newport Coast and Irvine. Get the Chocolate Bombe.....fantastic!

The Best Deviled Eggs in O.C.
We're on a mssion........it seems that Deviled Eggs are becoming the "it" thing to order.....it started for me at JCT Kitchen in Atlanta...amazing Deviled Eggs that were smooth as silk and so delicious. Who has the best Deviled Eggs in Orange County........
We get to only have ONE dinner in Atlanta......where should we eat? PS...we have three kids...
Thank you for all the wonderful reports. We ended up at JCT Kitchen and had a terrific and sooo delicious dinner and they were so accommodating with our grandchildren. The fried chicken, the deviled eggs, the fish were excellent! The deviled eggs were absolutely creamy and silky..would order 2 orders next time. The kids ordered popcorn shrimp which it came excactly with popcorn...they were a bit amused by that. Next time we are in ATlanta...we are definitely going there as well as FLIP...heard terrific things about them as well.
Going to La Mirada to see Joan Rivers...but need to eat first!!!

Hmmmm...Table 52 appears to not be anyone's favorite. So with that said...I need to look for another dinner...trying to please everyone is hard....and I know that there are so many choices......so I am up to any food, midrange price, and of course, food that is delish. I would love to go to Avec...but my traveling companions would never pay that much for such an experience....
