Jacksonville Seafood?

Ocean 60 on 1st street just north of Atlantic Blvd has very good seafood, though it is noisy. The hotel across 1st street just finished a complete remodeling and there is a new restaurant in it that just opened (5/23). We haven't tried it but the view will be spectacular. Our beach favorite is 11 South which is on 11th Avenue South in Jacksonville Beach, just to the east of A1A (third st.) There is also Roys (Hawaiin fusion) farther south on A1A just over the border into Ponte Vedra Beach; very good but somewhat pricey. It's on the west side of A1A in a shopping center. A bit farther south in the same shopping center has a Bonefish Grill which is reliably good.

Sicilian pizza/good chinese in Jacksonville

We developed a taste for both while living in the NY area. Any suggestions for Jacksonville?

BTW, we tried a place on Beach Blvd advertising Sicilian style pizza and it was just a thick crust pizza. We're looking for the style made in rectacular pans, cheese and spices pushed into the dough and served in squares.

I saw the posting for Star and dim sum and might give that a try. Anything else anyone could recommend?

Thanks

Great restaurants in Jacksonville, FL

We're newcomers to Jax and have been trying to find the answer to that question too!

I'd second the Sangria House for Spanish. Had lunch there twice and shared tapas...tasty and authentic. We plan a dinner visit to try the paella. The owners/chefs are from Barcelona.

Our vote for best is Eleven South in Jax Beach. If you're near JTB, it's nearly a staight shot out and a little north on A1A. Probably a stretch for $35 a head, but skip the alcohol and it would be close.

Good luck
