NC Emerald Isle & thereabouts - good eats?
Islande Grill in Atlantic Beach is great (small, but great). We try to go every time we are in town.

Islande Grill (Atlantic Beach) is great. Aqua Restaurant in Beaufort is also good. Kathryn's in Emerald Isle, if you want to stay in EI, is an option.

Aqua in Beaufort is very good - they have small plates, big plates: http://www.aquaexperience.com/
Also, Windansea in Morehead City is definitely worth checking out!

Southwest Durham - Carrot Cake?
Is there a bakery in Southwest Durham (around Southpoint mall) that sells really good carrot cake?
