I've had both gas and electric and while if you're going to be using the stove top mostly it didn't matter much to me one way or the other. But now that I'm baking all the time I tried a gas stove and it's awful. Everything takes twice as long to bake and it doesn't bake evenly and it's a pretty brand new model that's supposed to be pretty good. I am going back to electric.
