Really missing this since the St Clair Diner on Atlantic Avenue was gutted. Anyone know of anyplace which may serve this wonderful Greek dish - perhaps in Astoria? Willing to travel, as likely a place which serves this has other good items on the menu.

Evening dim sum (at China Pearl)?

Last time I was in the Boston area, I had heard that China Pearl served dim sum in the evening. Does anyone know if this is still the case and if so what are the hours, and do they serve on carts in the evenings? If not them, does any other place do so?

Thanks!

Dim sum in sunset park ?

My favorite in said area is Ming Gee, although the name may have changed recently. It is on 6th Ave. and 62nd St.. Found it through this board, and subsequently found World Tong (Then Ocean Port) by recognizing the same winning combination - Italian marble with Chinese signage - while driving by one night. World Tong is on 18th Ave. and 62nd St.. Ming Gee is bigger and therefore better at accomodating larger groups. Both are near the N train. Enjoy!

Domnick's Hotdog Stand on Woodhaven Blvd

Is the stand of same (or similiar) name in the Lowe's parking lot in Gowanus, Brooklyn related?

What happened to Dojo's?

I walked by the other day and saw it was being gutted. Does anyone know if it is in fact being renovated as the sign says? I love their soy burgers, but not so crazy about the NYU location.

Also, does anyone have a good recipe for the ginger-carrot-sesame dressing they serve?

World Tong review

It was not particularly crowded when I went, but had a reasonable volume for around 1:30 on a weekday. I have not been on a weekend in a while; if it is easier to get a table then slightly greasier dumplings are not a high price to pay.

World Tong review

Went there today. I agree with above reviews, and am happy that the place is doing fine overall.

Ocean Jewels-Flushing

I second the above, plus the har gow and lots of other things really melt in your mouth at Ocean Jewels. Gum Fung will pay for the parking of your prior visit. Simply get a card from them and save the muni meter receipt.

World Tong - Any Change?

I have noticed a place on Bay Parkway and one on 86th st. Have not been to either but they look like they have potential. Has anyone been to either?

Indian buffets in Jackson Heights

Are these near the 7 train? Also what hours are they - lunch or dinner, weekdays/weekends?

Thanks!

di Fara's best time to visit?

I have not had success with phoning in orders, and simply consider the wait (and the opportunity to watch him work) to be part of the experience.

World Tong - Any Change?

We have been going there for several years now. First caught my eye after having been to Ming Gee - driving by I noticed the same type of Italian marble with Chinese writing and had to check it out. It was easily the best dim sum in Brooklyn, and we were disappointed our secret was out when it was in the News and then the Times. Last time there we did notice a decrease in quality, and I am not suprised to hear this is the reason. However it is still good and we are not ready to give up on it. Seems like there is some fluidity in the business with Ocean Port closing and all, and I am sure it will improve at some point.

BTW, where is Chinatown Brasserie?

Does anyplace serve dim sum (on carts) in the evenings?

I am looking to take someone out whose schedule does not often allow daytime excursions, but has a taste for dim sum. I know that China Pearl in Boston serves on carts in the evenings, and was wondering if anyplace in NYC does so. Otherwise may do Dim Sum Go-Go which serves at night but off a menu. Leads, anyone?
