ISO Spicy Beef Recipe
I have a lot of stew beef from costco and want to make something spicy in the slow cooker. Thinking about Beef Rendang but not thrilled with the recipes I am finding. Any other suggestions welcome. I have 5 lbs of lean stew beef (2 inch cubes).

Epicure Market help needed.......
I don't LOVE the Epicure lasagna but mine is fabulous and I'm Italian so that might be it. It is fine, though. Do the meat one for sure. For dessert, why not a tart or maybe better an array of the cookies? And maybe a little salami and some cheese and crackers or antipasto veggies to start?

Sorry, posted too quickly. Used to love Prune but have moved and not been for awhile. Should I go back on my next visit or, if not, what else to try. Used to LOVE those marrow bones.

Can I substitue brown sugar for white sugar in shortbread without modification or do I need to add additional flour. Thanks!
Loving Michael's Genuine Food
Have been for lunch and dinner several times and everything has been very fresh and good to excellent. Anything from the wood oven has been amazing (especially the super thin pizzas) and the burger, homemade chips, and fried hominy are great. There is also more healthy stuff like a great yellow gazpacho and good salads.
Wines look interesting, but I'm pregnant and haven't sampled. Service is really really good. Check it out. It's busy so reservations are a good idea.
Pre-Easter Dinner Nibbles
We're having grilled rosemary lamb, scalloped potatoes, and mediterranean salad for dinner. For dessert, Nigella's chocolate easter cake.
What should I serve while the lamb grills (could be a process).

Pine Nut Cookie Recipe
My Italian bakery has these great pine nut cookies. they are very delicate texture and slightly chewy with pine nuts pressed into the top. They might have ground almonds/egg whits, but I cannot tell.

Christmas - Barefoot Contessa Beef Burgundy over grilled cibatta plus other stuff I did not make but which was good.
Salad Idea
I am having a dinner party and making spicy moroccan lamb stew (it has prunes and apricots) along with a spiced pistacio pilaf. I'd like to serve somthing light with it - maybe a salad - to compliment the meal but cannot think of any ideas. One thought was to do fennel, pomegrante seeds, oranges and a light lemon dressing, but is that too much fruit? I just need suggestions for something light and cool...

Ideas for lower carb make ahead dinner party fare.
Having a tree trimming party on Sat, so don't want to be fussing around with the food. One of the guests is a little freakish about carbs. All I can really think up is turkey meatloaf with sides (some of which she can skip). Other ideas. Most stews seem so carby and odd to serve alone.
