Abbott Pub - good food, bad service
I live just a few blocks from the Abbot and have been a regular visitor since they opened almost eight years ago.....it would not be an exaggeration to say I've probably visited close to a hundred times and I have never encountered anything close to what you describe.....I love the food, the servers, the vibe, all of it......I have even been included in their yearly customer appreciation party......when it comes to combining great food, service, and atmosphere at fair prices, few places in Toronto can hold a candle to the Abbot.......
Superfrozen Tuna... Where to get it...???
Does anybody know where I can buy superfrozen tuna (by the case)....I have checked out their website, but there is no ordering information, and the place is in New Jersey. I have e-mailed the company but I get no responses...I know several restaurants in T.O. use it (Baton Rouge for instance)....but I can't seem to get anyone to tell me how to get my hands on it for personal use.....anyone know who brings it into the city...???...anyone have any info...???
Avant Gout - anyone tried it lately?
I live within a few hundred metres of avant gout, and go there frequently (once a month or so).....few places anywhere in the city can hold a candle to this place as far as food, service and ambience go......I have had several encounters with the owner and he has never been anything but charming and accomodating to my company and I....I would urge anyone to try this restaurant....the food and atmosphere are incredible for the pricepoint.....

Anyone know of a great bakery anywhere in the city?, I am specifically looking for a place that does nice pies and cakes. I am in the Yonge and Bloor area, but any location is fine if the place is worth the travel....
