Still a long wait at A-Frame?

I'm thinking of finally trying A-Frame on Saturday night for a party of four. Are we doomed to wait 1 hour+?

Thanks.

Ojai Recs?

My husband and I will be in Ojai next weekend. We may go to Santa Barbara for a meal or two, but any recommendations for breakfast, lunch or dinner spots in Ojai would be appreciated!

Thanks.

is fritelli's doughnut shop in beverly hills out of business??

http://eatingla.blogspot.com/2009/01/...

Looks like they have closed. Donuts were yummy, but last time I was there (in December) the cashier gave me serious attitude. Too bad, though. The construction in that complex probably didn't help business.

Santa Barbara with 1 1/2 year old

My husband and I are going to Santa Barbara for the weekend with our 1.5 year old daughter. She's fairly well behaved in restaurants, but we won't be able to have a lingering meal. We had a great meal at Bouchon a couple of years ago, but that wouldn't be appropriate with a toddler in tow... Any lunch & dinner suggestions besides La Super Rica which is of course on our list? We're staying in Goleta but will have a car.

Thanks!

New restaurants in Culver City?

In other Culver City developments, on the KCRW show Good Food last week the Beacon owners said that they were opening a salad bar type place in Culver City - they didn't specify where or when...

Tuna - sandwiches, salads (traditional american)

Factor's Deli on Pico has good basic tuna - white meat with just mayo and celery. Their rye bread is pretty good too (it's not Langer's quality, of course, but has a pretty good crust).

Bouchon in Santa Barbara

Thanks Santa Barbara chowhounds! Husband & I were in Santa Barbara this past weekend and had dinner at Bouchon based on the recommendations on this site (and after checking out the restaurant's website). We had a fantastic meal! I'd liken the restaurant to Lucques in L.A.

First, the bread was delicious - crusty and airy inside. Apparently they get it from D'Angelo's. We started by sharing the raviolo appetizer. A bit overpriced at $14, but delicious, especially the lightly fried, cheese stuffed squash blossom. Hubby had the pork chop special & loved it. I had the onaga fish, prepared as the sea bass is done on the menu. The fist itself was excellent and the sides were amazing - Israeli cous cous with corn and fantastically flavored squash and velvet pioppini mushrooms. For dessert we had a chocolate molten cake with coffee ice cream and a huckleberry upside down cake with lemon zest ice cream - both were awesome.

Hubby had wine that he liked, but not sure what it was. I'm pregnant so stuck to water...

Waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly but not overbearing. Food came out quickly. We sat on the patio.

All in all, a great experience! Thanks again.

Good eats around Beverlywood?

Your sig other is just a few minutes away from all of the new culinary delights in downtown Culver City:

Tender Greens, Ford's Filling Station, Honey's Kettle Fried Chicken, Kaizuka (great Japanese), Wilson, etc.

Also, on Venice Blvd is Versailles and Gaby's, which I think is pretty good Middle Eastern food.
