Pre-wedding luncheon - Hells Kitchen, Lincoln Center, UWS Pre fix isn't the problem- the size of the party is. Actually having the rehearsal dinner at maialino. |

Pre-wedding luncheon - Hells Kitchen, Lincoln Center, UWS I was just looking at Nougatine- I had forgotten about it. We'll see what they say- all these restaurants are requiring private rooms and minimums - which I find quite ridiculous for a Friday in August lunch- no one is even in the city then! |

Pre-wedding luncheon - Hells Kitchen, Lincoln Center, UWS Thanks for the suggestions. Smith is too casual and Telepan is a bit stogy for this. I only like the bar at Ed's too. I don't know marseille or Atlantic grill- I'll check both out. Thanks! |

Pre-wedding luncheon - Hells Kitchen, Lincoln Center, UWS Hi guys, I am looking for a restaurant to host a small (10-12) person luncheon for my closest girlfriends/family the day before my wedding. What I think should be one of the easiest things to plan, has somehow been the hardest. I'd like to stay between the 40s and the low 70s on the westside, $50 max per person (not including alcohol), with new american, italian or french food -- too hard dealing with people's finicky eating issues with a more adventurous cuisine. I tried Marea, The Modern and A Voce -- but all are requiring a minimum spend of well over $50 per person because they require us to use their private rooms for a group that size (which I find ridiculous for a Friday in August in NYC). Any thoughts? Thanks! |

Where can I get a spatchcocked turkey? Anyone know where I can pre-order an organic, cage free, spatchcocked turkey in the city for Thanksgiving? I've called a few places and they say it will be too busy for them to do it at that time. I know I can do it myself, but would prefer not to have to deal with it while also cooking everything else. Thanks! |

Three Dinners- R'evolution, Root and ?? Perfect timing - heading back to New Orleans for the first time in about 6 years. I will be there with 3 other women - we are all in our early 30s and love food. I definitely want to try Patois, but what would you suggest for the other two evenings out of this list (or not on this list)? Food is a top priority, but if you need a tie breaker, fun atmosphere/good location for drinks afterward would be great. Thanks! |

These posts were incredibly helpful! Trying to narrow it down since we are only in Yogyakarta for a short time. Will be walking around Malioboro for the first night we are there - suggestions for dinner-- happy to eat all stalls too? Second day we will need somewhere for dinner near Prambanan. Last day, need somewhere for lunch between Borobudur and the airport. Thoughts? |

Indonesia - restaurant/market recommendations Hi hounders - heading to Indonesia and am looking for all your recommendations on places to eat -- from the street carts to the fancy restaurants with a view. We will be in Ubud, Uluwatu and Yogyakarta when we visit. We eat everything, are really in to food, and are willing to go out of the way to find it. The only places to eat that I have read about so far as Ibu Oka and Bebuk Bengil - which both sound like they have become touristy -- and Mozaic, which is super fancy. Will definitely do the Jimbaran seafood stalls when we are in Uluwatu as well. We typically do street food/casual restaurants for lunch and something a bit nicer (or a night market) for dinner when we travel to southeast asia. So what restaurants/dishes/markets would you recommend? Also, I typically take a cooking class when I travel - any suggestions? Thanks!! |

Need a decent place for a quick meal at South Street Seaport Hi -- Although I try to avoid the Sourth Street Seaport area as much as possible, I am taking a boat ride this evening from the pier and need somewhere to grab a quick dinner ahead of time. Any type of cuisine/price/atmosphere is fine -- just want somewhere decent to eat and not a nasty tourist trap. Thanks! |

Best restaurants for 2 days & nights in Philly Hi -- BF and I are going for 2 nights to Philly and are looking to eat at some great places while we are there. Thinking about Veltri for one night and Amada for another night and then possibly Amis or Osteria for a lunch. What do you think? Any other suggestions or better options? Not too worried about price and defintely don't care about type of food -- we eat and enjoy all cuisines. Thanks! |

Does anyone know if the rooftop bar is serving any food yet? If so, is it a separate bar menu or the menu from Print downstars? Also, do you need to call and reserve a table? Thanks! |

Can anyone direct me to where I can purchase mini hamburger/brioche buns in the Westchester area? Thanks! |

Hi, Heading to Cabo for 5 days with a group of women in our early 30s. What are the best places to eat -- both casual and more high-end? Although all cuisines are fine, we prefer to eat what is local. We have a reservation at El Farralon for one of the nights. Also, any help of the best places to go out for dancing after dinner would be great too! |

It has been a while since I have lived in the Boston area, and am looking for a great dinner from a new restaurant. I was thinking either Cragie on Main (I used to go to the old location when I lived in Cambridge) or Market. Unfortunately, O Ya is closed on Jan. 1. I know they are totally different types of restaurants, but would you recommend one over the other? Any other suggestions? Open to any cuisines and prices. Thanks! |

What are the new and great restaurants in the area? Any restaurants doing something exciting for New Year's Eve? Price does not really matter. Thanks! |

Girls Getaway- restaurant/bar recs needed Planning a trip for a group of 6 women in their late 20s for May and need recommendations for restaurants and bars. Need places for dinner that are trendy and fun, but still with good food! Open to all cuisines and cost is not too big of a consideration. Any bar/club recommendations would also be much appreciated. We're staying at the St. Paul, but don't need to stay in the area. Thanks! |
