Enrico's reopened -- anyone been?

Last Friday at Elephant & Castle on Clay Street I overheard a group of men making plans to go to Enrico's. I attempted to inform them it has been closed. But I was quickly corrected as they said "It's open again."

According to Yelp it indeed is back in business. Anyone been? Walked by??

Bourbon and Branch - anyone been?

The drink menu is extensive and the waitresses are knowledgable enough to make recommendations based on preferences. I had a very strong bourbon drink and a less strong bourbon drink w/ lime and ginger. Both tasty.

The Speakeasy/Reservation gimmick is catchy enough to pique interest. Luckily there are plenty of regular bars without a gimmick and where patrons can sit for as long as they like.

Personally I'll be back and I hope it continues to do well on a tough corner.

LA girl is homesick for SF-where must I eat while visiting?

* Definite confirmation on Aziza on Geary
* If you wander through the Ferry Building it would be a shame to not grab a bite at Slanted Door or Pancho Villa (Pier 1)
* Jeanty at Jack's on Sacramento http://www.jeantyatjacks.com/
* I'm also a fan of the comfort food small plates and fun vibe at Lime http://www.lime-sf.com/

pre-movie munch @ Metreon?

Friends recently had a nice meal at Annabelle's Bistro on 4th Street across from the Marriott. I haven't been since the recent remodel. http://www.annabelles.net/

The Warehouse Bar and Grill, Oakland?

The Warehouse is a cop bar which you can easily determine from the decor (and apparently the website). So if it appears divey it's because the patrons are off-duty cops looking to decompress from their shift ;) I've only had bar food when at the game to watch a sporting event. Give it a try and report back..

DiBartolo Restaurant - anyone been for food or drinks?

Looking for feedback on the DiBartolo Restaurant beside the Coffee shop on Grand Ave in Oakland. I've walked by but haven't had the opportunity to dine. Did notice there is a bar in the back. You'd think the bar would be up front to show the business is busy. But what do I know.

Luka's Oakland

Thanks for the suggestion for brunch. It is a nice departure from the other cafes without ambience. Great music, good mimosa, good food... a bit of a wait but I think the kitchen was slammed with a private event.

Cesar's on Piedmont

Went last night (Thurs) - given an estimate of 30 min wait when we arrived at 7:30p; others patiently waiting on the sidewalk. Thought the bartendar was attentive and drew us into getting a drink while we stood and waited for a table. Ended up securing seats at the bar and ordered food there. Definitely busy and loud. Yes same food as Shattuck but still tasty. Don't miss the cinnamon chocolate ice cream!! I'd say go before the weather turns and they lose the sidewalk seating.

Where can I find the best Gyros in San Francisco?

A good downtown (weekday) lunch spot is Krivaar on Pine.

Jack London Square!

Quinn's Lighthouse is fun for sitting outside overlooking the marina. Eat upstairs and order the Marco Polo Seafood dish from the menu downstairs.

Good eats around Fremont & Mission Street - FIDI/Ferry Building

Niji Japanese restaurant is at the top floor of Crocker Galleria. We're talking lunch during work after all. Not a leisurely dinner w/ a bottle of sake.

City girl moves to Rockridge - need sushi recs!!

I hestitate to mention because I've NEVER had to wait for sushi here. My new favorite sushi in the area is Drunkenfish 3314 Piedmont at Broadway Ave (510) 645-1912 -- nestled between car dealerships but has a nice back patio. Not walking distance from College Ave.

Good eats around Fremont & Mission Street - FIDI/Ferry Building

* There is a good Japanese place in the top floor of the Crocker Galleria.
* Cafe Mondo on Mission & 2nd used to be good for a panini & salad.
* Cafe Madeleine (California or New Montgomery) has fabulous tossed salads and great desserts.
* Zebulon at Natoma at 2nd - fun, artsy place w/ a varied menu
* If you're not restricted on time some of the best Mexican food can be found on Commercial Street near the Pyramid: Tlaloc or Mercedes both near Montgomery
