Liquor Store on the Strip
Would appreciate any information on where to purchase Vodka on the Strip at a good price. I usually drink Absolut, but any premium blend will be fine. Will be staying at the Monte Carlo but will be walking along the strip up to the Fashion Mall at some point during our trip.
Thanks.
Bridget, the roti lady is back!
Thank you Sake for posting this and for Dannyboy for mentioning the oxtail.
I was there last Friday and had the oxtail with rice and peas....it was delicious. She cooked it with Love. It was also served with some salad and that too was really tasty..the dressing was fantastic. Did not try it with the hot sauce, but will the next go around. Will be back next Friday.
Four Days in Vegas! First trip, help!
If you like Mexican, you must go to Gonzalez Y Gonzalez in New York New York. We just got back from Vegas ourselves 2 days ago. You will not be disappointed. The food is great and our server Maverick was fantastic. The food, the portions and the price are unbeatable.
Craft Burger disaster - will not be going back
Just found this posting so not sure if it was originally asked and then deleted as per the Chow Hounders posting. That does really sound unfortunate that this person behaved the way they did. Which location did you go to?
The Friis Coffee Canister
I came across this item the other day in a magazine. It claims to store your coffee fresher for longer.
Is it worth it? Or would any old jar container do?
Searching for the best Paella on the strip
Can anyone suggest a restaurant that serves a great Paella?
Thanks.
40th Birthday party, good food and lively atmposhere.
Hopefully no more than 25ish per main entree (outside of appetizers), we like pretty much anything and no we will not be driving.
40th Birthday party, good food and lively atmposhere.
While in Vegas for a few days, will be staying at the Mirage and are looking for a restaurant to celebrate a 40th B-day. Looking for a nice restaurant that won't break the bank and has good atmosphere.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Sedona and Surprise Arizona..where oh where?
We will be in both cities and would love some recs on where to eat.
Mexican, Thai, Italian, Chinese, we pretty much like everything...cheap and cheerful would also be great.
Cheers,
Looking for a restaurant in Huntsville
I will be in Huntsville for a couple of days and would love some recommendations on where to eat. Cheap and cheerful but not necessarily too cheap. I'm pretty much open to any cuisine.
Thanks,
Recs for Mexican, Indian or Thai - Orlando
We will be in Orlando for a few nights and would love recommendations for a great Mexican, Indian or Thai restaurant.
Thanks Chow Hounders
Suggestions for a Portuguese Restaurant
Looking for ideas of where to go in the city of Toronto for a home style Portuguese meal.
ie. traditional fares or even some bbq sardines would be great.
Panera
Do they serve salad at the locations in Ontario? Whenver I am in the states, I try to make it a point of eating lunch there. They have an amazing Greek Salad.
The sandwiches are fairly good but it is the Greek salad that I always look forward to.
Bukhara (not so) Fine Indian Restarant
When I first started going there for their lunch buffet about a year and half ago, the food was delicious!! believe me!
I can't comment on dinner but I had noticed the quality of the food had been going downhill in the last few months but would go back intermittenly hoping it was a one off occurence each time as it used to be so yummy.
Was just recently there for lunch after a two month absence and found it better..albeit not to the same standard it was when I first went...perhaps the owners are finally starting to clue in............
If anyone is in the downtown area, try Nataraj on Spadina/Bloor.
Rice cookers - Tiger or Zojirushi?
I currently use the stove top method but thought it is worth trying a rice cooker.
Any idea which stores in the Toronto area have a decent selection?
Thanks,
