Therer's also Mark Day to Go, which has several pickup locations throughout the Triangle:

Parizade http://parizadedurham.com/
Open for lunch Monday-Friday.
We had an anniversary dinner there a few years back that was very good - and they also gave us a complimentary dessert platter (after the waitress had found out it was our anniversary). Very nice of them :)
One week near RDU - where to eat?
Also near the 55/54 interchange is Papa Mojo's Roadhouse. Cajun and creole dishes, lots of seafood, really good. Crawfish boils on Friday and Saturday nights.

NC Wineries for 21st birthday in March
Just as an aside, Bin54 and Elaine's sometimes have Grove Winery's nebbiolo on their wine lists. Their red wines are pretty good.
Sheep's milk yogurt in Durham area?
Not sure about sheep's milk, but Weaver St. carries a goat's milk yogurt that's absolutely wonderful.
Lunch spots in Downtown Durham?
A Durham branch of the Orchid in Raleigh - Japanese, I think. I'm sure bf can tell us more.
Triangle New Restaurant of the Year
If you make it out this way, Antonia's is definitely worth a try. I have been very favorably impressed.
NC Wineries for 21st birthday in March
There are wineries all over the state - is there a particular region you are interested in?
Panciuto, Hillsborough
That's interesting. Hopefully more folks who are trying this place out on their own will post. I'd really like to know more. I really want a Hillsborough establishment to be a destination eatery.
Chapel Hill finally approves food trucks
Let's just say this does not surprise me - at all!
Panciuto, Hillsborough
I'm sorry to say when we went there last year for my birthday it wasn't wonderful. That was our third visit there, and they have struck out with us.
Ever since then I've debated whether to say something here or not, since it could be just our bad luck, plus I want places like this in Hillsborough to be successful. But, since our experiences have been so different from what usually gets posted here, I'll go ahead. Maybe it isn't just us.
Overall for us the price point and the quality has just never matched up. Our first meal there was pretty good - not stellar, but good enough to make us want to go back. The second was pretty average. The third was a mess.
No problem with being rushed, as we did go early - and there were only two other tables occupied at the time. But they made a mistake on my order (I'd asked for one pasta dish and they served me a different one), which left my husband to eat alone while I waited for the correct one to arrive. And what got rushed in that error was the food - when the replacement dish came out, the pasta was gummy and really not good at all. I ended up not eating most of it. And for a fine dining Italian restaurant, *that* is really a bad mistake. They comped my meal due to the ordering error, which was very nice of them (I didn't ask, they offered), but the bad pasta on top of that was just ... oy.
Because of this I just can't recommend the place as a special occasion destination. Hopes are always higher for those meals. And now it sounds like hours are a problem for some folks too.
Taverna Nikos - Durham, NC
Unfortunately I think it has. I was over there about a month ago and it didn't appear to be open. And looking at the Brightleaf Square directory (http://historicbrightleaf.com/directory/index.html), it appears a place called Saffron will be going into that space. Don't know if it's related to the other Saffron restaurants in the area or not.
Saxapahaw General Store (between Triangle and Triad NC)
I saw this yesterday too, and was thinking about hopelessly packed the place would become now ...
North Carolina BBQ TOUR
That's actually why I recommended it - good smoked meat, but something just a little different than what will be found at the other places. As was said upthread, I would think the same ol' same ol' for a week could get a little tedious, especially for Mrs. Qball if she's not that into it. The Pig has some good alternatives, too, along with the traditional Q.
North Carolina BBQ TOUR
I'd add The Pig in Chapel Hill (http://www.thepigrestaurant.com/) and Bib's in Winston-Salem (http://www.bibsdowntown.com/)
Vegetarian around Durham, NC?
Butternut Squash and Sage are both good, but small places. Not sure they'd be able to accommodate 10-20. Would you be interested in Indian? There are some good Indian places around, and they'd have some decent veg choices.
Restaurants open Christmas Eve 2011?
Well, it's certainly not perfect since not everyone uses Open Table, but it's easier than calling around!
Bourdain's Holiday Special
Yes, that platter looked absolutely awesome. And Samantha was actually quite funny (and a good sport)!
Restaurants open Christmas Eve 2011?
Here's what I get when I go to Opentable and plug in a request for a 7 pm reservation on 12/24 for two people:

some of the places are going fast.

I plan to be over there soon. Will look and give it a try.
Southern Season's New Ownership (Chapel Hill)
I really like their classes. I really like their chocolate selection - even streamlined, it is better than anywhere else I can think of in the area. Nothing seems to have changed at the Weathervane. I also just recently went there to buy a sympathy card for a colleague because they sell really high quality cards and I wanted to get an especially nice one considering the circumstances.
That said, one thing I have always really liked is their above-and-beyond service. I don't know when the ownership change happened, but after I had surgery in June I ordered a gift basket for the nurses who took care of me - and their addressing service put the wrong address on it (it was to go to one floor of the hospital at UNC and their auto-addressing through UPS changed it to another floor - I didn't see the change until I got the online receipt). I called to correct this and they seemed not terribly concerned about it. Kind of off-handedly said they'd make sure it got to the right place. Really? I have no idea if my gift ever made it to the right people (and this was after a similar thing happened to a gift I sent to my parents just six months before, and they *really* went out of their way to make sure they got the gift - and on a weekend, too). So ... shop there, yes. Ship anything? Maybe not.
Update on 4 Triangle Restaurants
Very tasty ... but kind of chewy. Not sure if that's how they are supposed to be. The raspberries in the crepe were awesome.

I ended up going to .... Rue Cler! I was going to check out Reliable Cheese regardless, so I thought I'd just check as I was walking by to see how busy it was. It wasn't ... there were maybe only 10 people there, so I got myself the beignets and a raspberry crepe. And about a quart of coffee. So yeah, been in a sugar and caffeine high since about 11 am, lol.
One really nice thing - since I was by myself I sat at the bar, which was empty when I went in. Later on 5 people came in who wanted to sit at the bar so the manager asked if I'd mind scooting over one place to make room ... they comped me the beignets 'for my trouble' -- of moving about over about a foot!

Reliable Cheese! Right next door to Rue Cler.

There's also a Carpe Durham entry, but it won't open for me at the moment.
They sell sandwiches too, but I think it's just takeout.
Update on 4 Triangle Restaurants
Yeah, sounds like a pass. And unfortunately NanaTaco isn't in the right part of town, so I won't be making it over there either. But! I have also not yet tried Bull City Burger or Dame's Chicken and Waffles. And I have not set foot Reliable Cheese either ... though in some ways that's probably a good thing :)
Update on 4 Triangle Restaurants
Glad you brought up Rue Cler - due to an errand I need to run in Durham tomorrow morning (Saturday), I was thinking of stopping by there about 10:30. Are they normally crowded already at that time? Because if so, I'll pass ... especially if I can't be reasonably guaranteed to get what I'd like to have after a wait.
