I wish I could! It'd be so easy (and inexpensive!) but I am not going to make it there for the party. I am merely planning it and handing out the to-do list to the other hostesses! Maybe I could just ship items...

Unique Dip for Veggies/Crudite

I am looking for a recipe for a different (not spinach or ranch) dip to serve with veggies and crudite for a shower.

Does anyone have some fun suggestions? Thanks!

Please Help NY hound throwing TX party

Izmir Deli on Greenville Avenue has excellent tapa items to go. It's not Southwestern/Tex-Mex, but it's some of the best I have ever had!!

Best Bakery for Petit Fours and/or Sugar Cookies (Dallas, Richardson, Plano area)

I am looking for a great, yet affordable, bakery in the Dallas, Richardson or Plano area that has great petit fours and/or sugar cookies. I am planning a shower in Richardson from New York City - so it's a bit of a blind run!

I appreciate the reccommendations!

Formula to determine crudite preparation (based on # of guests)

I am in charge of a baby shower and we are going to make the crudite in lieu of buying a pre-made platter, in order to save money.

Does anyone have a formula for calculating the various quantities of vegetables to buy, based on the number of people? I am trying to create a shopping list to disperse among the hostesses and am at a loss.

(Right now the expected guest list is 75 going strong)...

Thank you!
